I am so happy I got this coat for the torrential rains that are happening in California right now. I usually wear a medium... sized up to a large and I am glad I did. The sleeves are long enough to hide my cold hands and I 'm able to wear layers underneath for warmth. It still looks good. My L covers my butt( 5'6 '', 34DD, short arms, 145 lbs.) Love the visor to shield my glasses. This will be comfy to wear in summer storms, too... the pit zips are handy, 2 outside large zippered pockets. The coat is not heavy but it is substantial.

[ I read a lot of reviews and chose my sizing very carefully and am so pleased with the product. For reference, I ’ m 5 ’ 2 130ish lbs and usually go for a small for fitted, medium for a little room. I knew i wanted this as a shell for layering, so I gambled and got a large. I ’ m so happy with the fit for a petite person! It ’s pretty boxy as expected, but due to the cropped nature of the jacket, it fits as a regular length jacket should fit me( but without being too long like they usually are) arms on the large fit properly( almost too short even), so I definitely understand the recurring complaint about the sleeve length being short. Can ’ t attest to the rainproof aspect yet, but judging by other reviews, I ’ m confident it will work.

At 5'2 '' I was a little concerned this jacket would swallow me up, but the fit it perfect and the thing I most love is the belt. It creates a nice silhouette. Pocket placement was prefect with the pass pocket on the arm and lots of others too. I did wear a slim down puffer underneath since it was so cold, but depending on if you run hot or cold, you may not need it.

[ So I just want to start out by saying that it ’s way too warm for me to wear this out and about right now, but it will definitely be a staple once the weather cools down. It ’s such a lightweight jacket with snap enclosures where the pockets are which is a nice little throwback feature that you don ’ t see often in jackets. I got a medium and I love that it ’s a little oversized, but not too large so as to where you ’ re drowning. I love that the outside of the jacket gives windbreaker material, but the inside doesn ’ t meaning you won ’ t sweat at all in it like a typical windbreaker. I personally love this jacket and can ’ t wait for it to cool down so I can wear it somewhere other than inside my house.

I can rarely find time to go for a run until night time and the temperature has been dropping significantly at night time. That is where this jacket has come in. It has been a perfect run jacket for the night time temperatures. It has kept me from being too hot or too cold. It also has great reflective material for nighttime runs. Dressing for my run can be challenging and it changes every day. Lucky, this Run Visible Convertible Jacket is always in the mix. The quality is what I love the most. It ’s very thin and breathable yet the fabric is very strong. It won ’ t tear easily and it ’s sewn tightly in all the right places. The zipper is durable and doesn ’ t snag the fabric when zipping. This jacket can take some wear and tear from both me and Mother Nature and still hold up perfectly. The reflective material in the arms, wrist and other appropriate places gives me peace of mind. I tend to run in the evening when it starts to get dark. I feel comfortable that I ’ m visible to others without having to wear extra clothing or reflective bands. You also have the option to convert it to a jacket, vest, t- shirt, and tank top style. This comes in handy when running in variety of conditions like I do. Converting it to the different styles is a bit challenging at first but after you get the hang of it, you can do it quickly. You also have the option of the hood if need be. I ’ ve run in misty, windy, hot, and cool weather. I can honestly say that this handles any condition. It repels rain, blocks wind and works well in warm or cool conditions. Having only this jacket to tackle all these conditions is very nice. Overall, this is a well designed runners jacket. It ’s well made and engineered with the runner in mind. This was before I saw it converted into a vest. HA HA! As a runner having options for arm protection is crucial. If you dress too cold, you 're miserable. If your dress too hot, you wear out and waste energy. This jacket eliminates this problem. It's great for unpredictable weather and my evening runs in the fall when it gets dark early. The pockets are a bit small and difficult to open. An arm pocket would be ideal. I like the ability to hide the hood. I ca n't stand a bouncing hood while running/ stretching. The vest is great when I 've warmed up and need to cool off. I also used the vest inside the jacket as a pocket for my water bladder. I know it's not what it was made for but it works great! I wish it was a tad longer. When I stretch, the small size rises a bit high where the wind hits my stomach. I really enjoy the material and colors. I bought the Lawernce Jacket and matching pants in Alpine Green and when I wear them together I get asked if I work for the forestry service so maybe I should have gone for another color. It's a great jacket with lots of pockets in the right spot. I appreciate the cell phone leash and the goggle whips built in. It would be nice if the front zipper pull was a bit bigger or had a cord on it to make zipping up with gloves on easier like the pocket zippers have. And the collar could be a bit roomier to Zip up when wearing a neck gator.

I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. This jacket is also WARM and I don ’ t feel like raindrops are still making me cold through the jacket. It ’s also a superb wind breaker. I love the Turtle Dove color as it is a creamy/vanilla shade that pairs well with any snow pant color. This jacket is one of the best quality ski jackets on the market now. I would say it's comparable to Helly Hansen's Alphelia jacket in terms of fit and features but for a lower price point. It even has a similar fit to the Arc'teryx jackets if you cinch the waistline in and tuck it. You can get away with wearing no layers underneath this jacket in 30F weather. I 've already gotten many compliments and will be wearing this to back to back ski trips in Vermont and Colorado! I agree with other reviews that a snow helmet can not fit underneath the hood, but that is NOT a con for me as wearing a hood while skiing usually obstructs my view anyway.

I got this as a fun hiking jacket and I love the color so much it goes with so many of my outfits. But I will say that as I walk around the house with it and while I 'm hiking the elastic loop that you use to cinch in the bottom gets caught in door handles and in trees often which is kind of annoying. The vents on the back are pretty neat. The elastic on the cuff looks pretty cheap because the fabric is easier so you can see how thick the elastic is. Also the zipper looks funny when you cinch it up because the bottom of the zipper does n't get cinched obviously. Usually for crops jackets you can just talk this part upside down but because this one has a ruched pattern talking that part upside down causes the ruched parts to be hidden. Anyways still too cute for me to care. I found with the style of jacket you really need a size down because Free people is making it super oversized

It is a blend of sporty with some style. It ’s not as fancy or tailored as a traditional trench but the waterproof fabric is much more practical. I would call this more of a stylish rain jacket.

It is beautiful in person and it gives both fashionable and functional. I love the buttons on this coat and the bungee inside gives you more of a fitted look.
