Most ponytail hats( with the criss cross back or tiny opening in the rear) don ’ t accommodate a bun without having to finish styling after you put the hat on. It ’s really annoying for us girls who wear our hair in buns on a daily basis or women with 3a- 4c hair. I have 1a hair down past my knees so I wear my hair in a bun everyday. I either wear a visor but on really sunny days or rainy days I want to wear a ball cap. This is my go- to. I have two black and one white. I hope they make more colors and style options in the future. I love the elastic because it doesn ’ t pull on hair like Velcro does. Other ponytail hats I must undo the Velcro to get it on and off my head and hair. I do wish the elastic was a little tighter for us girls with smaller heads. Even better have a hide away adjuster in the sweat band so we can adjust and tighten as the elastic loosens. Please make more colors and trefoil styles!

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!

I bought this hat specifically to store in my car, because one never knows when you might have to stand out in the sun for an extended period of time. I especially love rhis design by Sunday Afternoons, because it's lightweight, washable and quickly air- dryable( comes out looking like new!), the brim is wide enough to shade most of your face, the chin strap keeps it from blowing off, and while walking through a store I can either `` store '' the hat on my back by lengthening the chin strap adjustment or roll it up and put it in my purse. My wife got me this hat before we went to Florida for a week. It is light and comfortable to wear. Good sun blocker. I recommend getting the light- colored version. It held up through seven sweaty days in the heat, without sweat stains.

My head is on the big side, and this hat is perfectly roomy and comfortable. It ’s great for summer! I wear it in the pool to keep the sun out of my eyes, and it dries quickly and the chlorine hasn ’ t caused any discoloration. I ’ ve also been able to toss it in the washing machine without incident( but I do air dry it). I did cut the strings off( just not my thing!), but they ’ re great for the people who want to secure it a bit better. It stays just fine without them!
