Most ponytail hats( with the criss cross back or tiny opening in the rear) don ’ t accommodate a bun without having to finish styling after you put the hat on. It ’s really annoying for us girls who wear our hair in buns on a daily basis or women with 3a- 4c hair. I have 1a hair down past my knees so I wear my hair in a bun everyday. I either wear a visor but on really sunny days or rainy days I want to wear a ball cap. This is my go- to. I have two black and one white. I hope they make more colors and style options in the future. I love the elastic because it doesn ’ t pull on hair like Velcro does. Other ponytail hats I must undo the Velcro to get it on and off my head and hair. I do wish the elastic was a little tighter for us girls with smaller heads. Even better have a hide away adjuster in the sweat band so we can adjust and tighten as the elastic loosens. Please make more colors and trefoil styles!

Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. It ’s quite expensive but worthy. What I love the most about this hat is it doesn ’ t lose its shape after you wash or stuff it in your pack. I have worn it in my multi- day backpacking trips in the wilderness and it still looks like new.

This hat is such a pretty upgrade from my previous beige unisex sun hat from an outdoor store. I do n't like having to wear hats but I 'm allergic to the sun now so I have no choice. I have a large head and typically will wear a baseball cap on the beach because hair needs to be back, this hat is amazing!! I wore it first on a windy day and just had to tighten the back and the chin strap and the hat stayed on my head. I love that it covers my ears and the back of my head and neck. It ’s soft and comfortable and the ponytail hole is perfect. This hat is it!! I ’ m 44 and try to keep the sun off my face while enjoying the beach.
