I received it and I 'm lovin' it! The first thing I noticed was the air I could feel circulating on the top of my bald head. Having vents on your hat are important, however, they usually allow burning sun rays to filter through. Usually I have to decide between being sunburned without a hat or hot with a hat. The Ultra Adventure hat has happily made that decision for me with its ultraviolet protection factor of 50+, including the mesh panels. No more polka dot sunburned head! Also, its so light weight you can forget you have it on. It is really the lightest hat I have owned. Its hard to believe it can do its job and be so light on your head. The downward sloping 3 ¼ ” brim shades my entire face and the cape keeps the sun off my neck, which is another great design feature. This hat gives protection to head, face, neck and ears without being obtrusive. Other features include a sunglass lock that holds your glasses in place. It works too. I have tried to shake my head to dislodge them and they stay put. Also, if taking a hat in a back pack is an issue for you, this hat folds in half at the brim and can be kept in your pocket. Without a doubt, this is the best hat on the market and worth every penny. I urge people to give this hat a try if you are shopping for the best hat out there. My head is too large for `` one- size '' hats, but my extra- large head AND my ponytail can fit inside the extra- large size of this. I also love the extra- wide brim, which easily keeps my entire head and neck in the shade during the brightest hours of the day. Large hats can act like a sail in windy conditions, but the adjustable chin and crown straps are super helpful to comfortably keep this hat on. My kids and I love our hats for a couple of reasons. First, they are so light that we do n't feel like we are even wearing a hat that gives great sun coverage, but we are! Second, my kids are able to get great sun coverage with comfort. In the past most of the hats they wore had brims in the back too. I hate hats but when I really needed one at an art fair recently I bought a sun tripper hat. It's lightweight, comfortable, and easily folds to fit in a pocket and does n't get crumbled. I 've wound up wearing it a lot and I 'm buying a second one now. I wash mine often and it air drys quickly. After months of wear it still looks as good as it did when I first purchased it.

I pair this visor with earmuffs when I wear my parka with the hood up. I wanted to shade my face and eyes from the sun. I needed a visor that did n't wrap half way around my head and was flexible enough to let my parka hood come around my face. This visor is perfect for that. The wide ban also keep my hair out of my face.

I never write reviews, but I really like this hat. I have a small head and it's hard to find a hat that fits. This one is adjustable. I 've been able to keep it on while hiking in the wind because of the chinstrap. It's water resistant. Plus it packs well. And most importantly, I like the colors- gray and pink.

This is a great hat for boating and kayaking in the Florida sun. It is comfortable and keeps most of the sun of my face. Also not too hot to wear.. It's nice to have a big hat that can be stuffed into a tiny dry bag in the evenings when the sun goes down.

I have had this hat for over 14 years and use it primarily for kayaking. When property fitted to my head, it stays on even with rolling and strong headwinds. This IS ONLY go- to hat when I paddle( it is my signature clothing). Unfortunately, after all these years of sunshine, salt, and surf I must retire it and purchase another.

After much research and checking out many types of hats, my son purchased the same( but older version) 15+ years ago to wear hike on a High Adventure Scout Outing to Philmount. It was waterproof with an SPF of 50 and very light. Snaps on the side came in handy as well as the adjustable size. Now- years later, when I reached out to the company- OR- and asked them about the SPF( I could n't remember that!) because I now have to protect my face from all sun. We corresponded a few times and were able to do the research to tell me as well as show me the current version which is the Seattle Rain Hat. And after all these years it still looks new. I initially bought this hat for kayaking in the southeastern US, and it's great for that regional combination of broiling sun and expected rain. So now, I live in southeast Alaska, and it's perfect for what people call the `` Juneau Rain Festival ''( 1 January- 31 December:)). It's also great in the chilly weather because I have the older model that has the fold- down fleec ear flaps. Wish they 'd bring those back because I sure could use a new one.
