I hate insect repellents, as they are usually greasy, once applied. This product is not. Once applied and rubbed in, I could not tell that I had it on my skin. I chose this over products containing DEET as they can be harmful to some plastics, like those used in cell phones and cameras. Since I would be handling these items frequently, I did n't want to take chances. This product worked very well. I spent a week traveling in Ecuador and never got any insect bites. On more than one occasion, I watched a mosquito land on my bare skin, then immediately leave before biting. I also used Sawyer Permethrin on my clothing. I bought this on a whim. I had picnic table bench covers already, but was curious about this product and figured it could come in handy. As it turns out, I use this all the time now. It's great for picnic areas where I am only there for a short while and do n't want to set up everything under the sun( like the full bench covers). It stores in the passenger door pocket in my vehicle and is so easy for me to grab up.
