[ I bought this to work outside on hot days, and it works well for that. I have n't tried it on a super hot day yet, but suspect it could use a bit more breathability for those conditions. It provides full coverage from the sun and still gives you pretty good vision. I did n't buy it for looks, but I think it looks cool in kind of a dorky way. The sizing is a bit big, I 'm a 7 1/2 hat size and got a large, and have to cinch the strap down pretty much to get it to fit tight, which wrinkles it up a bit, but I tried a medium and it just was n't quite big enough. It is nice to have the adjustability, which you do with an easy pull strap. The colors are great and the price is fair.

We wear also wear them while we swim in the pool or lake. I have a very small adult head so I fit in a large. I also got my 3 year old a large because he has a pretty big head. It is a bit big on him, but not too big that it is uncomfortable. He 'll be able to eat it for years to come. [ The hat seems to fit well as I do have a relatively large head. It blocks sun well. Given I live in Florida, I have not been able to test in the rain yet. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. I think the color I purchased is fine for what I need.
