My head is too large for `` one- size '' hats, but my extra- large head AND my ponytail can fit inside the extra- large size of this. I also love the extra- wide brim, which easily keeps my entire head and neck in the shade during the brightest hours of the day. Large hats can act like a sail in windy conditions, but the adjustable chin and crown straps are super helpful to comfortably keep this hat on. [ I was in the market for a serious summer sun hat instead of the cheap ones available at all of the big box stores. After much research I decided on Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure Hat. I received it and I 'm lovin' it! The first thing I noticed was the air I could feel circulating on the top of my bald head. Having vents on your hat are important, however, they usually allow burning sun rays to filter through. Usually I have to decide between being sunburned without a hat or hot with a hat. The Ultra Adventure hat has happily made that decision for me with its ultraviolet protection factor of 50+, including the mesh panels. No more polka dot sunburned head! Also, its so light weight you can forget you have it on. It is really the lightest hat I have owned. Its hard to believe it can do its job and be so light on your head. The downward sloping 3 ¼ ” brim shades my entire face and the cape keeps the sun off my neck, which is another great design feature. This hat gives protection to head, face, neck and ears without being obtrusive. Other features include a sunglass lock that holds your glasses in place. It works too. I have tried to shake my head to dislodge them and they stay put. Also, if taking a hat in a back pack is an issue for you, this hat folds in half at the brim and can be kept in your pocket. Without a doubt, this is the best hat on the market and worth every penny. I urge people to give this hat a try if you are shopping for the best hat out there. Since its guaranteed for life, it will probably be the last sun hat you need to buy!! You may want to buy more though as soon as everyone sees how cool it is!

I know it's not water proof( the one feature it does n't have)- I hope the water resistance is good enough for summer squalls. I wear it in my urban neighborhood as well as the lake. I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

I ’ ve been searching for a bucket hat for golf that fit well, provided good coverage on my face and ears, was washable and looked good. This hat ticks all the boxes! It is so comfortable. It fits true to size and is cinchable on those breezy days. I just hope you offer it in more colors soon!

I never write reviews, but I really like this hat. I have a small head and it's hard to find a hat that fits. This one is adjustable. I 've been able to keep it on while hiking in the wind because of the chinstrap. It's water resistant. Plus it packs well. And most importantly, I like the colors- gray and pink.

This is a great hat for boating and kayaking in the Florida sun. It is comfortable and keeps most of the sun of my face. Also not too hot to wear.. It's nice to have a big hat that can be stuffed into a tiny dry bag in the evenings when the sun goes down.

Great hat! Super functional and looks good with everything... meaning I will wear it beachside, poolside, at the river or in the garden... you get the point. This hat can take a beating in my bag and still look cute while I sit in the stands at my kids' soccer games.

[ I love the design of this rain/hiking hat. It has a nice felt lining and is wind resistant. Although this hat protects from the sun's harmful RAY 'S, it is not meant for really hot weather due to the felt lining( meant to keep your head warm). Outdoor Research makes sun hats that are more suited to the desert or really hot climates.

[ I go to the YMCA pool and met a nice couple that each had OR hats. I inquired about their hats. I liked what I heard so I purchased one for me and my husband. I love this hat I because it fits well, protects me from the sun and it is waterproof. I wear it when doing water exercise and when riding bike. I also purchased the Sombriolet sun hat which has a wider brim, vents and a chord to tighten to my head. I use both and I am very pleased because of the functionality and quality. PS I still use my baseball cap and visors.

[ This Hat does its job well. Light weight. Water resistant. Easily stuffed in a bag for storage. Retains it's shape after storage. I hav n't yet needed to use this hat in heavy rain, but it seemed to work well in light rain

[ My head measurement suggests either a medium or a large. Based on a review I saw on the manufacturer's site suggesting to go with the large in the same situation, I did, and I am glad I did. This hat is super- comfortable and light. I got it in black and it's the kind of hat you can wear in town or on the trail, because in black it does n't look `` outdoorsy ''. I 've been wearing it under a sun hoody for maximum sun protection.

The Eclipse cap is the best- fitting most comfortable baseball- style hat I ever had. picked one up two weeks ago for a week of canyoning in Utah. we had rain, hail, snow, sun and heat- the works. please produce this hat in a putty or light khaki color so I can buy another one.

I needed a hat to use when attending all day outdoor events. With very fair skin it does n't matter how much sunscreen I use I still get red. This hat is great for keeping the sun off my face and neck. I really like how lightweight the top part of the hat is. I also like the ability to size the hat and the venting. This is a great hat if you are looking for comfort and good coverage.
