[ I bought a pair Korkers Polar Vortex 1200g boots after my kids talked me into. They ate like mini furnaces on your feet. They are crazy waterproof. If you have skinny chicken legs like I do, an extra pair of socks maybe needed. The Boa system is sick!! It takes seconds to `` tie ``. Love these boots!!! [ I bought these for ice fishing. I needed a boot to be super warm& waterproof. Something that will still feel warm at 50mph and subzero air. These totally fit the bill. Very comfortable. The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. I 'd to walk miles in them they are so comfortable, they also feel very sturdy and supportive which you 'd want in an ice fishing boot.

I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states. Although the prices continue to increase for them. I have had I pair in 65 years that did n't give at least ten plus years. If you 're need is to do delicate footwork in steep or awkward terrain these are not the boots for you. But, if you 're spending a lot of time working outside in Wyoming in winter in snow, on ice, and in the very special kind of mud we have up here, they are stellar. I had a little break in period to soften up the ankles a little. They are warm, without heavy socks, even in sub- zero° F temps, comfy, 100% waterproof, and easy to clean. These are seriously burly well made boots.

Sizing winter boots has been quite challenging. I wear a 10. 5 medium width athletic shoe/ 44. 5 cycling shoe. I tried many brands and sizes including LL Bean, KEEN, Columbia, Muck, and a few more. Boots like this can feel stiff so I prefer thicker wool socks for added cushion and insulation. An 11. 5 was snug but not too tight( like the 11) and gave me enough wiggle room in the toe box. When I finally got outdoors with them, I found them warm and comfortable walking around for more than two hours through slush and snow on trails and streets. They are quick to slip on and lace up, quick to unlace and slip off. I am very satisfied with them.

I purchased the advanced series snowshoe in a kit with poles& a bag from my local sporting goods store. I have the 21 '' size. I have used them several times to walk in a hilly park near our house to keep up my love of walking in the snowy winter. I enjoy being out on them immensely. They are very easy to get on and off over my boots. Once the heel fitting is set it really is just a quick pull on the brackets over the toe and I 'm on my way. I also really like the pop- up heel frame that helps you walk up inclines much easier. Very nice feature! I find the poles to be helpful for balance and great to boost all over aerobic exercise too. Since my purchase I have found your site and am eager to try the pro series. I have already recommended these to family and friends. I bought these for my daughter this Christmas because she had outgrown her youth Yukon Charlie snowshoes. She wore those for about four years, and they were great, so we moved up to these. At first we were concerned about by women's for an 11- year old, but we wanted something that would last. The tapered tail and narrow frame work great for her. And she absolutely loves the bindings( and so do I). She can finally do them herself instead of me having to fasten the clip bindings of her old ones. She enjoyed using the heel lifts for some of our back country snowshoeing. A great product( and pretty too)!

I love these Sierra Mid Lace Waterproof Boots so much I purchased a second pair. They are so comfortable and great for walking/hiking long distances in any kind of weather. They also feel super durable, so I ’ m very confident they ’ ll last me a while. The only minor downside is the fit. I went half a size up( normally I 'm a size 10, bought 10. 5), but they still feel a bit tight on one foot. It ’s not a deal- breaker, but I wish they offered a wide option for this model. This is my second pair of Womens Lightening Ascent Snowshoes. I purchased the first pair when they first came out and used them for many years. I replaced the bindings on the old snowshoes and still have them as a backup pair but they are 25 inch models and I wanted the shorter version; so, I purchased a new pair. The new snowshoes have an easier to use binding than the old ones and the heel lift seems to be places in a better location for smaller feet on the shorter snowshoe. Other than the improvements to the new model they are still the best snowshoes I have ever used. It is important to get the narrower women's model if you are a small person. I have tried the men's model and they were too wide and more difficult to travel in. I a 5' 2 '' tall with short legs. I have had minimal issues with snow balling up and secure grip on steep icy terrain. I am a big fan of these shoes.

[ For a few years, Sorel has been my primary, go- to boot for winter boots. However, my feet would always get cold even though my Sorel boots were supposed to insulated. I get cold quite easily and needed to find something new. These boots are perfect for people with cold feet! The omni heat technology actually works and keeps you nice and warm. If your feet get cold easily, you must buy these! They 're super stylish and the tread is great for walking in the snow. Buy a half size up. I 'm usually a size 9 in lifestyle footwear, and a 9 fit in these fine, but I wanted to size up to accommodate for thick socks. I ordered a 9. 5, and I 'm so glad I did.
