Where I live( Washington DC) we do n't get crazy amounts of snow, but we will have the occasional winter storm and get 6- 10 inches or so. I needed a boot to keep my feet warm and dry when I walk my dog, run errands, etc. But I did n't need super heavy duty boot to shovel snow in. I chose this because I liked that the shaft was n't too high, so I could still wear it with most of my pants. We just had a winter storm. The snow was deep enough that it covered my entire boot and yet they kept my feet SUPER warm and I did n't feel slippery when walking on ice. The waterproof material kept my feet dry, and they are also SUPER CUTE! I am a true 7. 5( according to the size chart; my feet are 24 cm), but I still ordered a size 8 based on reviews saying it ran small, and I think I made the right decision. I think if I ordered my exact size I would n't have room to wear thick socks.

The boot liners had a bunch of animal fur stuck in them, and all over the outside soles. Clearly someone had bought this exact pair before, tried them on, possibly used them, and decided to return them for whatever reason. It ’s very obvious that I didn ’ t get a “ new ” product. I sometimes buy previously used items, but only when I know that I ’ m buying used and can inspect the product first, and usually at a discount. I was fully expecting ” new ” here as It wasn ’ t indicated anywhere that I was getting a used or returned product and I didn ’ t get that. So 2 stars to Dick ’s for not being up front on the condition of what they ’ re selling, or checking the condition of the returns they ’ re reselling. I ’ m not disappointed in the product, hence why I ’ m actually leaving 5 stars, just in Dick ’s quality control and product clarity. This isn ’ t a deal breaker this time… I ’ m still keeping the boots, but now I have to spend time de- fur- ing them first.

As the weather gets cooler and wetter, it ’s very important to have proper footwear that will allow you to get through your exercise comfortably and confidently! This waterproof shoe also allows me to run as long as I want without stopping due to the elements. The shoes are very comfortable overall, I do feel as though they run a tad big, but I don ’ t think I ’ d size down. It honestly just feels a little big in the heel area; my toes were in a good spot in the shoe. I love the reflective piece! It ’s very innovative, looks really cool with that rainbow effect, and keeps me visible/safe if I run when it ’s dark. I like the black/grey colorway but I definitely want to cop these in a lighter color too so I have options as far as outfits go. I ’ d recommend these for any outdoor runners or athletes! They are a bit big and run wide especially in the heel area, and I probably could ’ ve gotten away with an 8. I kept them because I ’ d rather be able to wear thick socks and not have anything start to rub my feet uncomfortably after a while. These boots are a bit heavy but they are very sturdy and the sole feels grippy. Good quality. the inside is comfy and cozy. I love the side zipper for easy on and off. I wear 6- 6. 5 in regular shoes and usually have to size up in winter boots because I wear thicker socks. I got a 6. 5 and it fits perfectly with enough wiggle room even with thick socks. I ’ m a hairstylist and on my feet basically 24/7, I actually wear these to work pretty often bc they ’ re so comfortable( with my specialty inserts for super high arches) and they are awesome! I have used them a few times and they shed snow and water, and keep my feet pretty warm. The `` speedlacing system '' is a nice perk-- it means( I think) that there is an extra tab that holds the lace on the lower part of the boot tightly, so you can tighten the lower half and it will stay tight while you adjust and tie the upper half.

I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.
