As for sizing, I have seen some reviews say they are small but I did not find this to be the case. For reference, I am 5' 8 and 170 and got a medium. To me they fit perfectly. The only place they are a tiny bit snug is around the thighs( I have thicker thighs in general) but if I lose, literally, 2- 3 pounds, they would be perfect. I also LOVE the length as most pants like this are too short on me but these are plenty long( so may be a lad long for a shorter person). [ These pants are so versatile you can use it for everyday use. I love the rain and stain repellant feature because water just slides through it. It is also light enough that when washed i do n't need to put it in the dryer, i just hang it to air dry. I bought a pair last year and a 2nd pair just recently in a different color. the only i wish theses pants have are elastic waistband. The recommended use is hiking and when hiking the elastic waist band would 've been more comfortable with all that moving and bending you will do. But i still love it! and i love the belt hoops that becomes additional hooks to whatever you may want to keep in your person that is easily accessible.

I 'm so glad I did n't order these online, I opted to try on my normal size at a local retailer and they were crazy tight, like early 2000s skinny jeans. I then tried on 2 sizes up from my regular waist size and they fit nicely with a belt. If you work out and have thighs and glutes that are semi- built order a size or two up in the waist for mobility. As far as quality goes, I like the thickness and rigidity of the material, definitely a nice resistant fabric.

These trousers were the reason for me to fall in love with the Fjällräven brand. I 've used them extensively while camping, tenting, hiking and- yes- winter mountaineering. I absolutely love the design, materials and functionality. Those were my first pair of hiking pants with pre- bent knees and I felt the difference in comfort and freedom of movement. In hot summer days, they might feel a bit heavy, so the ventilations are essential to keep you cool. I can appreciate the front pockets as well, as they have enough depth and are easy to reach on the go. My pair is ageing quite well and has no issues with the durability even after extensive use and washing cycles- the color on the G- 1000 does start to fade a bit, but it looks even cooler that way. Overall these are one of my favorite trousers. For the winter mountain, they are a bit baggy and may get in the way of your crampons, so I switched to a pair of Bergtagen Stretch for that. Still, they can do the job and will not let you down. For all other seasons, they are unbeatable.

I thought, why not use a legging as my baselayer and then if I need to strip off, I am not hiking through bramble in my woolies? I was worried as there is no drawstring at the waist, I wondered if the weight of my phone in the side pocket would pull the pants down over time. The good news is that the pants stay up very well. They are very breathable and I consider they will make great warm weather bottoms. The ankle opening is quite narrow- put your socks on after! True to the sizing guide.

I was provided this model of Ferrosi Hybrid leggings to replace a previous pair( the warranty issue was such a complete fluke that really, I should have bought a lottery ticket because the chances of it happening in another pair of leggings would be next to impossible). So A. GREAT work OR for standing behind your products and B. They were replaced by a newer model. Turns out, this is a super cute legging. I love the pockets- they are placed well, good size, extremely functional. I am not sure if I am entirely sold on the two tone black color. When I pulled them out of the wash the back almost looked navy blue- but it could have been the lighting. I have a weird hangup with black and navy together. I really like these trousers. I wanted a pair of hiking trousers that looked a little more stylish and can be worn in a multitude of scenarios. I have them in green, a pleasing military shade, and like the fact they are all a single block of colour unlike many two- tone hiking trousers( which I personally find a little uncool). Material is flexible facilitating easy and fluid movement and is durable but not heavy. The cut is straight, not baggy, a little more slim than most walking trousers. I ’ ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I ’ ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They ’ ve held up fine so far, but I ’ m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

I love these pants for hiking and backpacking. The material breathes well, dries quickly and is cool in hot weather but warm enough when actively hiking into the upper 40s even in a mild breeze. The draw cord at the waist is very nice and works well. Eliminate need for a belt, which gets in the way when carrying a backpack. The draw chords at the cuffs are nice, but they require a plastic attachment, which is easily lost. They should be supplied with one or two replacements when purchased.

[ These pants are comfortable with a bit of style. My only complaint is that the waist runs extremely small. I am 5' 4 '' and usually wear a 0- 2, but the top snap was uncomfortably tight. I went up to a 4, and the waist is till very snug. I got these pants for my upcoming trip to Scandinavia.

I purchased these on a whim and have thrown out my other pants similar to these. The cut is nice and has a slight taper in the leg giving it a modern look. The material stretches and I have not noticed any wear after several washes. I am usually tough on clothing and these show no sign of abuse. I bought another pair in a different color I liked them so much.

Best pants I have ever owned. I had a pair of the regular Ferrosi pants, they were comfortable, but way too wide and baggy for my liking. These ones are a great cut and have an excellent feel to them. Super stretchy, super light, super comfortable. OR, please never change these. I will be buying more and more pairs!

The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. They do n't have the zipper thigh pocket but as I mentioned this gives them a slightly more formal look and fit. Obviously it goes without saying that they are comfortable, stretchy and lightweight like the entire Ferrosi line. Sometimes the Ferrosi line is known to pill but I have n't noticed any yet after a couple of months wear.

[ This is my second pair of these. I have not yet had a chance to wear them because the weather has been nice. But what I love about them is that the fully separating zippers allow me to don and doff them without the need to tak my boots off and on. Even more importantly you make them in a short length( I am only 5' 1 '') and that is the ONLY way this concept works. You can not reasonably shorten rainpaints with a separating zipper-- you have to start out with the correct length and not many companies cater to this need.

[ My favorite pants. I got a couple in each color I love them so much. I wear them casually as well as a California business set up where a nice button down or polo shirt works nicely with them. They are just so comfortable with just a little give to where if I 'm working with a lot of squatting or bending, it is just as comfortable as when I 'm going to the movies or lounging about. I recently purchased a pair of Columbia Men's Cobble Creek 5 Pocket Pants. The material is relaxed fitting but also feels like a durable product. Like a pair of your favorite jeans I believe I will be able to wear and enjoy these pants for a long time. Columbia is still a great outdoor brand and Dick ’s Sporting Goods has a wide selection on their apparel. Very happy with my purchase.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

I took the Duofold pants with me on a three week visit to a cool place. I went out on hour and a half to two hour hikes in temps from 30 to 45 degrees. My legs stayed warm even on rainy days.
