[ On a whim, I picked up a Canyon SS prior to hiking into Havasu Falls on the Havasupai reservation. We hiked into the falls in early July, with daily average temperatures in the low triple digits. I found this shirt to be extremely comfortable, fast- drying, and quick to vent off excess heat. With a large pack on my back for the 12- mile hike, even with the Arizona sun bearing down on us, I never felt uncomfortably warm or overly soaked in sweat. The shirt managed to wick away and evaporate off the moisture at a steady, appreciated rate. Upon reaching the falls, I gave the shirt a quick rinse off in the creek and after half an hour of hang drying, the shirt was ready to be put through its paces once more. Seriously, as far as the intended function of this shirt is concerned, it performed beautifully. Plus, I find both the fit and appearance of the shirt to be really nice. I 've since placed an order for additional shirts. I really dig 'em. For the reviewer who found the shirt to hang onto odors, I did n't have that issue at all, and I used just the one Canyon shirt for the three days we spent at Havasu. And, I was with people who would have quickly pointed out that I stank. No problems with odor control.

I have purchased several of these, the ones that fit me the best are these with the snaps, Tamiami II. I wear the extra small, and I 'm a 34C. I wear these over athletic tank tops with a lightly padded sports bra( medium), I like that it's a perfect fit when it's buttoned up. If I was going to wear it over a bulky T- shirt or a push up bra, I may size up to a small, but I find them to be too big under the arms unless I leave it open to wear like a jacket. Other styles of Columbia button up long sleeve styles fit different, this one is fitted like an hourglass with a little stretch in the material. I have wide shoulders for my tiny 5' 3 '' 115 lb frame and this fits perfect in XS, other styles I need a small for my shoulders only. If you 're going to leave it unbuttoned then it does n't matter if it's a little big. I wear XS in most Columbia clothes esp with no sleeves, small in some items with sleeves. I wear XS in JCP Liz Claiborne& Worthington tops for reference. Major note- even though there is a notice that the colors on the site may be different than they are in person, I honestly expected the granite purple shirt to be more purple( it looks dusty lilac online). In person, it just looks medium gray. I put it up next to a gray T- shirt and it does look slightly purple- ish. Next to anything purple, it looks dirty. I 'm very disappointed in the color and will be returning that one for a different color. You would be better off just buying gray. This color will not go with anything except maybe black and white. So far, all of the blues and greens and variations of the two mixed together like turquoise and teal have all at the very least been complementary to each other.
