[ Recently returned from an extremely hot and humid vacation in Key West. Temps in the 90's. Dewpoint 75 or higher every day. Heat index of 110. I brought 2 of these Echo T- Shirts with me and lived in them. Very light and breathable and the only tops I had that did not stick to my hot and sweaty body. They wicked well and offer SPF protection. How this is accomplished in such lightweight material is a mystery to me. And no... they are not see- through like so many other lightweight options. I 'm a big fan of the modest v- neck these shirts have. I do wish they were and in or two shorter, but that's my personal preference. I highly recommend the Echo T- Shirt and the Echo Sun Hoody. Fantastic all around.

If I was going to wear it over a bulky T- shirt or a push up bra, I may size up to a small, but I find them to be too big under the arms unless I leave it open to wear like a jacket. Other styles of Columbia button up long sleeve styles fit different, this one is fitted like an hourglass with a little stretch in the material. I have wide shoulders for my tiny 5' 3 '' 115 lb frame and this fits perfect in XS, other styles I need a small for my shoulders only. If you 're going to leave it unbuttoned then it does n't matter if it's a little big. I wear XS in most Columbia clothes esp with no sleeves, small in some items with sleeves. I wear XS in JCP Liz Claiborne& Worthington tops for reference. Major note- even though there is a notice that the colors on the site may be different than they are in person, I honestly expected the granite purple shirt to be more purple( it looks dusty lilac online). In person, it just looks medium gray. I put it up next to a gray T- shirt and it does look slightly purple- ish. Next to anything purple, it looks dirty. I 'm very disappointed in the color and will be returning that one for a different color. You would be better off just buying gray. This color will not go with anything except maybe black and white. So far, all of the blues and greens and variations of the two mixed together like turquoise and teal have all at the very least been complementary to each other. Some items I have purchased with the same color name have actually matched perfectly! But having a color that looks dirty is not good. I purchased the white one and it matches everything and is a great color for sun deflection in the Florida 8 month summer season. You should get definitely get the white one.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Shirt is lightweight and definitely protects from the sun. Not ideal if it gets wet kind of gets stuck to your body and the logo in the back can be a little hot if the sun is beating down on you. Fits a little tighter than your average Columbia shirt( It does say that in the description, I just did n't read fully but still fits well). This shirt will replace a lot of my everyday spring wear.
