I recently purchased these skates because I ca n't afford$ 150 skates at the moment. They are great quality for it's price. Did n't need major sharpening when I received it. They work great on the ice. I can do some jumps just do n't go too hard on it. I recommend using these skates for beginning classes but if you want to get into major competition I suggest spending the extra money to buy competition skates. I usually wear a size 7. 5/8 and I purchased a 7, it fit nicely.

As a young boy we could n't afford hockey skates so I always wore my sisters figure skates. Much later when I was now on my own I took back into ice skating but this time wearing men's hockey skates. The problem with the men's skates they did n't have toe picks and that was what I really missed. It's well padded and generally well made real leather boots with poly coating. Just like all other new skating boots, its blades needs to be sharpened before first time use. Note that the street shoe size is different from skating shoe sizes. For online buyers, follow the Jackson size chart- my 9year old daughter's feet measures 9 inches, we got the 5. 5 in `` women ice skate boot size ''( with half size allowance for thick socks) and it's perfect fit. I desperately wanted these but they had none my size at Pure Hockey to try on. Although, they said they can order and have it shipped, I was just not comfortable with that. I still like them nonetheless. I wear a size 4. 5 on the Bauer Mission inhaler FS2 Rollerblade. The size 4 fits me perfectly but I had to go with a 4. 5 because my right foot was wider. The toe box there was not great and it felt like metal was jammed into my bone. I dislike larger sizes but sadly have no choice there. 😔 Bauer needs to upgrade and make more of these skates/ice skates for wider feet. However, I do dislike around the ankle area. Once tied and standing up, you can not stand up straight at all. The way that it's build, it makes you lean forward automatically by force. I 'll be taking them out this weekend since I just purchased them yesterday. I 'll probably switch around with my twins since they have the white figure skating ones. Those does n't push ypu foward at all. Lol. I 'm glad we kind of wear the same sizes in these Bauer. Also, on the web it stated that the heated ones come presharped and ready to skate. That's great and you do n't have to spend money on sharpening them. Nothing is free anymore nowadays! Many places have fees like you would n't be believe just for sharpening.

Just received my skates, size 7 38 Euro. What the Dick ’s website doesn ’ t say is that these are C width which is wide. I have a narrow foot so that ’s not for me. I thought as I wear a size 38 in shoes the 7 would fit, but they are entirely too small and too wide. Ended up getting a size 8. 5 with B( regular) width and they fit perfect. I think the Jackson Ultima size chart( in inches and cm is extremely accurate as it showed I needed an 8. 5 and was spot on. These skates are meant to be stiffer around the ankles, and they feel stiff:-)

Don ’ t know much about skates, but I ordered these and have been happy. Was skating with a chair with my son day 1( we ’ re all first time skaters), and the next day was able to go on my own. They look nice and seem to be made well. They are a bit uncomfortable as I break them in. The blades are reasonably sharp and I protect them with skate guards. `` Product is new so we ca n't rate quality over the life of the skates( she's a size 5 and will outgrow them within a year) thus unless quality is severely lacking will of course never know as we typically give them to a smaller skater( she's already outgrown 5 pair).
