They do not come sharpened, so we had them sharpened at a local ice rink this year. They are flat inside so if you have high arches or foot issues you may want inserts for them. The original skate was too small I got online with Dick's Chat line and within a few minutes a return was processed and a replacement skate was ordered in the correct size. I received the replacement skate in 3 days and the return slip was emailed to me the same day. Dick's went ahead and shipped the skate without me having to purchase the same pair and before they received the incorrect pair back in stock. This was not Dick's error but mine, I ordered the wrong size. The skate is great it looks like a good quality of material and is what I expected. For sporting goods Dick's will get my business.
