It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. This vest was great as an extra layer to keep me warm while working at the office. Fits to size and is what I expected from North face brand.

This vest is the perfect weight. It keeps you warm, but you do n't get over heated wearing it. My husband loves it!

I 've had the 2- tone( Cream/Black) version of this vest for almost 25 years and it's my favorite out of the 20+ vests in my closet. I have always enjoyed the fit, weight, warmth, durability and yes, the number and placement of the pockets. A great business casual look as well as a great layer for skiing, hiking, biking camping and even golf. Glad this is still part of the offering!
