It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

[ I could n't wait to wear this jacket once the weather got cooler in Texas. The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

I was looking for a jacket for cooler Spring and Fall days where a 'winter' coat is too heavy, but a windbreaker is too light. This jacket is the perfect in- between jacket for those days. I also love the fact that you can cinch the waist for a more flattering look, as well as the longer length in the back. The side pockets are deep enough to hold my cell phone, but if I could make one addition to this jacket it would be to have a cell phone pocket up near the chest, either inside or outside as other Columbia coat styles have. The Velcro tabs along the zipper and on the sleeve cuffs are very strong too which make for a secure fit. The jacket material feels very durable as well. I have n't worn it in the rain, but I 'm sure it will pass that test perfectly as well.
