This is an absolutely excellent kayak for beginners and seasoned kayakers alike. The width of the Passage offers exceptional stability, while its shorter length makes it easy to maneuver through both large and small bodies of water. The seat is surprisingly comfortable even when sitting for 3+ hours. Although this is not classed as an angler kayak, the built- in paddle keeper makes it easy to bring a rod and reel along if desired. The back scupper holes also fit my poles perfectly, so they may as well be flush mounted rod holders! My only qualm with this yak is the lack of storage/a dry well- if it had that, it would be the perfect yak. This has been a great purchase, and I love that it fits both myself( 5' 1 '') and my 30lb pup. It's also fairly light and not as much of a pain to lug around as I expected, which is a big bonus!

Review: Great First Experience with the Quest Passage 100 I recently took my Quest Passage 100 out on my local neighborhood pond for the first time, and it performed beautifully. The kayak felt incredibly stable, even sitting on top, and paddling was smooth and easy. The departure was seamless, and the back support was very comfortable throughout my time on the water. There ’s plenty of legroom, which is a big plus, and the cup holder and fishing pole spots are well- placed and convenient. I especially love the storage area in the back — it ’s perfect for a cooler or any gear you need, and the bungee cords keep everything secure. Got this kayak a couple months ago and I have used it twice. It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to the accessories( rod holders, built in tracks) plus having the comfortable seat. Little tippy at first but after getting out for a while it tracks well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the best bang for your buck. I am going to try to put a trolling motor on it this summer. I am 6' 2 '' 230 lb so I might be over the weight capacity. No problems with the dry storage like other reviews. Ca n't find a better deal, plus the purple is nice.

I am not new to paddle sports, but this is my first kayak( at age 62!). Just had my maiden voyage( on a lake with very little wind) and it was so nice! Very stable, tracks well, and the seat is fairly comfortable. I think I need to get myself a set of wheels for the back end because it is a little tough to carry by myself. Also want to get a dry bag for my keys and wallet.( Ziplock bags worked ok, but something more sturdy might be good.) I am pleased with my Quest Canyon 100 and am so glad I got it on sale.

My husband and I purchased this after experiencing a tandem kayak for the first time while on a cruise. At first I thought it would be difficult to paddle as a team but it was the most fun we 've had in awhile! The Perception Rambler has a bit of weight to it but between the two of us we can easily carry it to the water. Overall, this is a really nice kayak for the price point... especially on sale. It's solid and durable, which also makes it a bit heavy. I do have a handful of complaints. First of all, the rod holders behind the seat are huge. The diameter is quite large, which increases the chance of losing a rod. I find it ridiculous that Perception sells inserts for these. The second complaint is the side handles. Aesthetically they are great. They are streamlined and sleek. Functionally, they 're less than perfect. You can only grip them one way. The cavity is on the inside of the boat so you 're fingers can only grip that side. It makes it more difficult to load on top of a vehicle. The front rod holder is n't great either. There's a RAM mount, but's it's a 1- 1/2 '' ball, which limits your options. You could get a 1 '' ball, but it's$ 20+. A small deck hatch, right in front of the seat would have been nice for phone/keys/etc. The seats not bad. I would still recommend as no boat in this range is going to be perfect.

She had been using a 9' 6 '' big box store, generic kayak and enjoyed it. She took her maiden voyage on her Loon 120 and absolutely loved it! Initially was going to get her the Loon 106, but fortunately when I called I spoke to a staff member who explained the the 120 is better suited for a smaller stature person such as my wife. This is my first real kayak and I was torn between a sit in or a sit on option and then I found this! Super unique design and I ’ m very impressed with the quality of the product. I feel like I ’ ll have it forever. If you are thinking of using a kayak on bumpy choppy waters or just lounge on a lake it works for both. My favorite feature is the skipper plugs which allow you to drain the kayak while you are in it!

I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! This seems like a very durable kayak with its HDPE construction and I really like how Lifetime has treated the kayak to resist UV damage, like they do all of their other outdoor products! Check out the Cabrio 11- it ’s worth your time and money!

I was given the opportunity to test this kayak for Lifetime. I used to kayak a lot, both whitewater and recreational. Now I have 4 kids and I have not been able to be as active as I would have liked. This kayak caught our eye because for our kids the sit on top feature is really nice, they do not feel trapped and they like to jump on and off. For me, it was nice to have the ability to put the cover on and stay a little drier. If. I get a chance to take it on a river the cover is nice to avoid all the water coming over the edge. I really like the storage area on the back, there is a little storage at the front as well and even a small place in the cover for small items that would stay dry. the kayak is very large and stable, great for beginners, though it is very large. It is also heavy, definitely a two person job to move it and load it most of the time. The handles seem durable and are convenient for carrying the kayak to the shore. The cover comes on and off easily, my eleven year old had no problem taking it off then putting it back on. This is a great family recreation boat!

It's a little heavy and bulky on land, but handled easily enough by two people. Handles well in the water. I purchased padded seat bottoms, as I was told a long trip would be uncomfortable without them. Only complaint I can possible come up with is it was missing a couple small parts.

We have owned this kayak for almost 8 years. Aside from the seat back and clips that attach it eventually breaking, we have had zero problems. I contacted customer service and they had a shipment( at no cost to us) in the mail within 24 hours with replacement parts. Myself and multiple of my children use this kayak for summer fun and fishing. I love using it with my toddlers because it is SO stable, you almost can not turn it over even if you wanted to. Excellent for a family style kayak adventure on the lake, or those who prefer more stability. We have even taken this one to the ocean twice and used for fishing, it withstands the waves and proved very useful for dropping bait. Only downside that comes with the stability, of course, is it is quite heavy to move. Luckily, ours does not go far.

My daughter has a pink youth kayak and we lay down the seats in our Honda CRV( 2008) put mine in nose first, seatbelt through the hand grip, then put hers in upside down and backwards, attaching her hand grip at the nose of her kayak to the back hand grip of my kayak. They both fit perfectly with all our camping stuff underneath. The seat back is so comfortable and worth it!! I got tired of my inflatable kayak( too heavy, too much effort to get out on the water) and decided to upgrade to this foldable. It is lighter than expected, so I can haul it around with no problem, even folded out, and I ’ m a fairly petite woman. Now I can get out on the water fast and without much effort, though unfolding it for the first time took a while to figure out. By the second time, it was easy. I have used this twice now on a slow moving river, and it's perfect. I 'm grateful for both the instructions and the video( but note: the video is n't for the Lake Sport). I recommend setting it up indoors first, just to get the hang of it. I 'm glad I spent a little more for the Lake Sport to get the footrest and the better seat. I also recommend the bundle, which came with a shoulder strap, paddle, and dry bag, and they had a deal with a free PFD too( which is a nice one). The whole thing is easy to carry( at least for short distances) and fits snugly into the trunk of my hatchback.
