I like most everything about this lightweight rain shell except for two negative areas of concern. The jacket could have benefited using a material that wasn ’ t terribly so noisy. Very body movement makes way too much shell noise. The shell could have also included a hood which could have been either tightly rolled into a zippered or Velcro collar. The overall shell look is nice and the construction is well made. It just needed few extra touches to make it super.

I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. It's so comfortable I want to wear it even when it's crazy hot outside, and unsurprisingly it's cool and cozy even then. I bought one in all three colors available and no I 'm not embarrassed about that in the least.

This jacket is great, it reminds me of the older version of this called the Paray but this one is a little more stretchy, the sleeves were a little baggy and longer than normal so I went down to a medium. The snap button is awesome for arm mobility for tennis and venting.

Solid layer that keeps the wind off of you, the waffle grid fleece on the back allows for breathability when exerting yourself physically. Thumb loops are a small detail but very valuable. If you need more warmth out of a layer like this I 'd recommend the Keb Fleece Hoodie and it would n't be a bad idea to have both in your closet!

This fleece is definitely a very comfortable piece and definitely a compliment getter. I Love how the hood Is naturally snug without obstructing your view. One thing to note is that the fleece is a tad bit snug around the chest area but the flexible and light materials keeps the fleece breathable. I do recommend getting this while on sale or either with a gift card of some sort cause it is a bit pricey for most people. But overall this is an amazing fleece and definitely would get another

[ Employee of columbia] I bought the XXL for my 5 ’ 8 235 pound husband and it ’s pretty roomy. The sleeves are just right on him( sometimes those XXL coats have super long arms). The color “ Amber ” is more of a nice Autumnal rust color than orange. It looks really nice with the black accents. The chest pocket is super roomy and easy to access. All in all, a great coat and he can ’ t wait for it to by chilly enough to wear it.

Sure is warm. First test initially I was skeptical and put on the jacket thinking it ’s roomy and easy to wear. It took about 3 minutes to begin to feel the warm sinking in to me. I bought it for a one layer solution to sub- fifty degree weather in a humid city. We haven ’ t gotten cold enough for a full day wear yet but I like it so far.

Fit: I am 5'11 and 190 pounds, wear XL for shirts and sweaters, but L for these types of jackets and the L fit me well in this one. Warmth: I have used it in up to- 10C and it has kept me warm at that temp with only a t- shirt below. Might be too warm for anything above 0C- 5C for me. If it can keep me warm up to- 20C with a thin layer underneath it will have good range. Style: looks very good. Amber is a bit darker than I expected, which is welcomed in my case. Does not look orange at all. Weight/design: it is very lightweight, and does not look puffy. Would have appreciated one or two pockets on the inside. Easy to move around in, so will be good for winter activities. Overall, highly recommend this if you are looking for a jacket to put between the times you need a full winter parka and your spring jacket, this will hold a good place in that spot as it does seem to be quite versatile temp wise. I get a feeling it will also reduce my use of the full winter parka by a bit.

This is a great item. It's warm, and a little heavier than a normal fleece, so it has some wind- stopping ability. However, I 'm a taller person( 6' 5 ''), and although the sleeves were a perfect length, the torso was too short. I had to return the jacket, and was extremely bummed that there was n't a XXL available for exchange.

I love the Buck Fleece. I got it in the Fall in the Laurel Green color and wore it all throughout the winter. One of my favorite features about it is the collar. It never loses its structure. It's a warm, cozy sweater but the collar, leather details of the logo and zipper, and the chest pocket all give it a nice look. It's great as a layering piece if you 're going to be in cold temps or as an outer layer if you 're in moderate temps. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb woman and I got the size XS. It's relaxed in fit and a tad long in the sleeves on me but I just cuff them up. I would highly recommend this fleece for all.

Love this jacket's simple, effective design. It works well as a spring or summer shell and the waxed fabric does an excellent job at keeping the wind and rain out even though it's not rated as waterproof. In the fall and early phases of winter I 'll wear a down mid layer to insulate my body heat and throw this guy over to protect from the elements. I get so much wear out of this jacket I might have to pick up another color!

This was the first ever jacket I 've bought from this company and I loved it right off the bat. It has a sleek and stylish look and serves for multiple seasons. As for water resistance, its ok at repelling water so it's worth getting the Greenland wax that they sell and add a few more coats especially over the seams to ensure before your adventures. But Overall the sten jacket is an excellent piece to have in your closet for adventures and even general use!

[ I was looking for a breathable jacket to use in windy Ohio spring and fall weather when it is too warm for a thick cotton hoodie. The Sten jacket is exactly what I wanted. It weighs the same as my old flimsy nylon windbreaker but feels much more durable. The pockets and details are well thought out, and the two way zipper and bottom hem snap allow for as much ventilation as needed. It is NOT waterproof, but the fabric dries quickly and can be treated with Greenland wax to make it more water repellent.

Quarter Zip Fiend
There are many quarter- zip for outdoor activity, but there are none like this. I have owned many different types of half- zips/quarter- zips, and various other pull overs, but they have all been outrageously expensive and made of inferior materials. Function: The wool makes this quarter zip worth the price and worth the space in your luggage and carry- on for travel or daypack/backpack for camping and hiking. It is very comfortable and not itchy; the wool will keep you much warmer than a 100% polyester construction and it will breathe! Additionally, it is moderately to above average in the durability category. Fit: The fit is great. It is close to the body but not slim. Most quarter zips that I own are either so slim it gives it an athleisure feel or so boxy you are down right swimming in it. This is a great in between. I find myself wearing this pretty much everywhere with the combination of fit and function. Overall: prAna definitely makes quality products and this is premiere for me. A durable, comfortable, and good- fitting clothing item that doubles both for casual and sporting activities is as good as gets for me. I highly recommend the product.

[ This jacket caught my eye because of its' bright colors and classic, yet uniquely new design. I love the bugaboo embroidery on the back as well. But the biggest selling point for me with this jacket is its' versatility. I am easily kept warm in New York winter with the full coat, but on days when it's milder, I love that I can easily just take off the blue outer shell and only use the inner piece-- which is also a great stand alone jacket. It fits true to size and looks like how it does on the website. I 'm 5' 3 '' and 135 lbs and bought a Medium and it fits great. Not oversized or too tight anywhere. But it is form fitting. So if you like a baggier look and feel, I 'd go up a size. The quality of material and the zippers is excellent, and it's really easy to put the jacket back together if you choose to separate the layers. The only things that would make this jacket better for me is if there was a hood for the rain/snow, although the high neck helps a lot. Aside from that I wish the zippers did n't zip from the bottom up in case something falls out; but to be fair, nothing has fallen out before.

This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.
