These are my new favorite running shorts. The length is just right. They are made a a material with a little stretch and allow free movement. Their front pockets are as roomy as they could be in a pair of running shorts. There is a zipped pocket on the right side big enough for car keys and a few run gels, gummies or waffle. I love the pockets with zippers, which make this product similar to much more expensive branded shorts. I have not washed them yet; let's see how they last this summer. Warning that the shorts are true to size. The S is ideal for at most a 30- 31 '' waist. It would probably be best on a 29 '' I 'd say. Great all- around shorts! I love the fabric of these—the nylon has a crisp( almost stiff at first, then softening over time) and substantial feel. These hold up to moderate abrasion better than drapey polyester shorts. They ’ re perfect for rock climbing. The wide leg opening and stretch makes them great for lifting or running too. I ’ ve even gone swimming in them( just note they are unlined). I love the 5 '' inseam, but I do wish the front rise and back rise were an inch higher. The embroidered logo is a nice touch.

I bought a pair of these when they first came out a couple of years ago and always saved them for my `` dress '' shorts. I always looked forward to wearing them as they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. I finally decided to replace my lined Breeze shorts with the active breeze shorts because they are just so much more comfortable than the Breeze short. The extra comfort comes from the difference in the waste band. The old Breeze short had a typical stretch liner but the new active breeze short has more of smooth band where you do n't feel the waist band against the skin, you dont actually know you are wearing them.
