A little above the waist, perfect length for the sleeves. Inside has a hidden zip up pocket, the lining inside is perfectly warm and the same material is include in the pockets to keep your hands warm. I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.

I purchased this jacket after see that rain was predicted for all 15 days of our trip to Europe. I 'm glad I did. The jacket was easy to pack tight and did n't show any creases. I was able to wear a sweater under it on the cold days and never felt like I had on too many layers. The rain did fall, but the hacket kept me dry the whole trip. It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.
