You can wear in in the 50 ’s unzipped without getting too hot, and I ’ ve worn it in mid 30 ’s drizzle comfortably. [ This jacket caught my eye because of its' bright colors and classic, yet uniquely new design. I love the bugaboo embroidery on the back as well. But the biggest selling point for me with this jacket is its' versatility. I am easily kept warm in New York winter with the full coat, but on days when it's milder, I love that I can easily just take off the blue outer shell and only use the inner piece-- which is also a great stand alone jacket. It fits true to size and looks like how it does on the website. I 'm 5' 3 '' and 135 lbs and bought a Medium and it fits great. Not oversized or too tight anywhere. But it is form fitting. So if you like a baggier look and feel, I 'd go up a size. The quality of material and the zippers is excellent, and it's really easy to put the jacket back together if you choose to separate the layers. The only things that would make this jacket better for me is if there was a hood for the rain/snow, although the high neck helps a lot. Aside from that I wish the zippers did n't zip from the bottom up in case something falls out; but to be fair, nothing has fallen out before.

I love my Fjallraven Singi Down Jacket! I purchased this jacket in dark navy two years ago and to this day, it is my go- to jacket for really cold weather. I live in the north east of the U. S. so the temps can drop to sub- 20 degrees( Fahrenheit), but this jacket and it ’s ethically sourced down does an excellent job at keeping the warmth trapped inside. I must say that it ’s roomy enough to layer up underneath and I actually had to size down to a small, when I normally take medium in everything I purchase. For reference, I am 5 ’- 9 ”, 160 lbs, lean, athletic build. So keep in mind that sizing down may be necessary depending on your height and weight.

Highly recommend this jacket! I bought it for a winter trip to the Swedish Lapland( Abisko and Kiruna). It got down to 0F or so(- 17C). This jacket is an absolute beast! Couple the jacket with the Fjallraven thin wool top and a light sweater and you 'll be super warm. The tour guides all offered winter clothes to borrow and they had this same jacket! The pockets are plentiful and excellent. Big outside pockets for your hat and gloves and small zippered pockets for your phone/wallet. The fit is also top notch. Zipped up it looks great and I received many compliments from total strangers. I have the navy. I 'll still give it five stars, but the zipper is 0/10. It's on the `` wrong ''( left) side for a men's jacket and assuming you are right- handed, it is extremely difficult to get started. You 'll definitely need to have both gloves off and even then, it is very tough. One other thing to keep in mind: this is an extremely warm jacket. In 35F weather, you 'll be roasting to death in just a t- shirt, even unzipped. This jacket is really designed for days when it's 25F or colder.

I think I can best summarize my opinion of this coat in that it makes me want to go outside in blizzards. This thing is sooo warm and well designed for practical use; I spend a huge amount of time standing outside for hours in the winter and this is the perfect tool for the job. Not only is it warm, but its also very durable. The external fabric is tough! I have no concerns about it every ripping which is a huge peace of mind, I think the thick fabric also helps protect from wind which is really nice when its blustery. The pockets are very generous and perfect for stashing gloves or other moderate sizes items if needed. I find myself rarely needing the hood but when I do its oversized and very helpful in protecting against flakes or wind. The only thing that I dont absolutely love about this thing is the zipper for some reason its a bit hard to line up, and there is a bit of a learning curve, its funny, every winter it takes me a couple tries when first using the coat to get the feel for it, but after that I have no issus; on the other hand, the zipper is very durable so its not like I 'm concerned about it failing, more that it just takes a bit of a specific 'touch' to get it to line up. Overall I would highly reccomend this, it will last for years( mine has so far, and I expect it will for many more) its also a lot more affordable than other premium parkas, but I think this one is actually warmer and more practical in many ways than its competitors.

First- I will say this coat is AWESOME! I wanted to finally invest in a hardy quality winter coat and this one fit the bill. This is the warmest and nicest coat I 've ever owned. I was tired of the trendy lightweight down coats that do n't actually keep you as warm as you 'd like. There is a kind of pleasure that comes from wearing and enjoying a finely crafted article of clothing and this jacket gives just that. It feels exceptionally cozy and of high quality. Second, I will say that this coat is BIG. I really do not understand Fjallraven's sizing recommendations. For reference, I am male, 6' and 160lbs with an athletic( I would like to say) build. I find it a little frustrating to read reviews and feedback about sizing but most people do not put their body size in the review for comparison. If I had followed Fjallraven's sizing guide, I should have ordered a medium. I was torn about which size to order and found it hard to gauge based on reviews, so I ordered a Small and Medium with the intent to return whichever one I did n't want. I will definitely be sticking with the small. The small itself almost feels a tad oversized but I think it will do okay. The medium just feels comically big on me. Even with wearing a shirt and lightweight sweater underneath, I am quite comfortable and still have full range of motion in the small. As far as warmth and comfort, this thing feels so comfortable. I am impressed with the amount of down and insulation in this thing. I live in the midwest USA and our winters get down to 18- 20F on an average cold winter day, usually with several days dipping into the single digits or lower. I walk my dog every morning and enjoy winter hiking and I feel confident and prepared for the coming winter now. So far we have not hit a very very cold day but I did try it out in a morning just above freezing. I wore only a T- shirt underneath while walking my dog and did not overheat in it as others stated- I felt quite comfortable. Part of me wonders if this means I would be a little cold in just the jacket on the really really cold days, but I think it is reasonable to still require a warm base layer or thin sweater underneath to stay warm enough. I feel confident this will be the case. The hood is impressive- big and warm and well insulated and fits snugly enough when pulled over your head and the fuzzy lining feels functional enough to keep out wind, not just a fashion statement. The drawstrings add a nice touch and work well, helping you to show off your lean figure still in a thick coat as you cinch it up around your waist. This helps trap warm air inside and I noticed it also takes a bit of the weight of the coat off your upper body and puts it onto your hips- kind of like the hip straps of a backpack. The zipper is not really as big of a problem as some have complained. It is a bit funny because it is on the opposite side as most zippers for men in the US. Maybe this is a Swedish thing? I 'm sure I will get used to it. Overall, I would say: Stylish, cozy, WARM, quality. It brings me joy and confidence knowing I am well prepared for the coming winter.

I bought one of these a few years ago in XL. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 and about 200 pounds with very long arms. It fits me perfectly. I have worn it at 0F with just a shirt on under it and I was plenty warm. It ’s made very well and I think the price is very reasonable for the quality. It never leaks any feathers and will last for years. I have the Greenland Winter coat too that I ’ ve had for about seven years and it ’s still in perfect condition. I ’ ve just come onto this website to buy another one of their coats and maybe an insulated pair of pants. Some people say the prices are high, but I strongly disagree. This is a great jacket. It is easily packable/stowable. Great for travel. Super warm and great for any adventure. I unfortunately snagged it on my first trip with it so am dealing with having a patch kit that does n't really want to stay patched. But that's my problem, not the jacket's! After getting through a NYC December/January where conditions ranged from 40F with heavy rain to nearly 10F with strong wind and snow, I can officially say I love this jacket. It ’s very stylish and the warm adjustable hood is a highlight. I prefer the flexibility of having a versatile “ lighter ” jacket that can get through three seasons but this jacket isn ’ t super light. When it got down into the 20s, I just layered with a light insulated vest and the jacket remained effective. I don ’ t understand some of the complaints in other reviews… two- way zippers are always a little more difficult to zip up but with the longer length of the jacket, it ’s well worth it. And no, my arms didn ’ t get cold in the jacket either.

This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men ’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big. It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist. I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn ’ t my style. A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic( not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I ’ ve had no issues with the double zipper. Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there. Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat. Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up. Chest- level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold. I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through. I ’ ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy! Keep in mind, this is the “ Nuuk Lite Insulated ” version so it ’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “ Nuuk Insulated ” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England. I highly recommend!

Bought this recently, a week old review. Shipping was quick and efficient. With regards to the jacket, it keeps you warm and cosy even when there is a gust. Looks a bit handful but performs like a workhorse. The pockets are deep and well- thought positions. The hand pockets with warm liners are cosy when you forgot your gloves. The Hood is padded and adjustable so this eliminates the need for a beanie until unless is heavy gust or snow. There is enough space for both beanie and glove in case you choose to wear them with you along with the jacket. The secret pocket inside the chest is a good place for either mobile, cards, car keys or something valuable. A small elastic compartment in the outer chest pocket is for something like a go- to bag to keep keys secure and have quick access to. Overall build quality is excellent. Being used other fjallraven products longevity of their products is unparalleled. The arm length is a bit larger for me, Please take a measurement of yourself with all the inner layers( i. e- day to day clothing which you might be wearing inside the coat).

I was looking for a very warm, every day jacket. I usually buy ski gear type stuff.... something that you need to layer up and stay active to keep warm in. I was finally ready to buy a jacket that I could stay warm in when I was just standing around. After reading some of the reviews I was afraid that this was not the jacket I was looking for. I expected it not to be warm enough. I was wrong. This jacket is super warm. In 23° F with the wind and snow blowing, it's toasty warm with just a t shirt and flannel underneath. The design is awesome too. The hood is nice, there are pockets everywhere, it fits great, not too baggy, not too tight and it feels super durable while looking good for pretty much any occasion. I also tried a Singi wool padded parka thinking the Skogso would n't be warm enough. The Singi is amazingly warm but is overkill for daily wear where I live( our cold days are usually 0° to 25+° F). The Singi would be great for standing around in sub 0°F weather but is too bulky to wear every day for me.

I use this jacket as my daily driver for Ohio winters, where temperatures can sit right around the freezing point or drop into deep freeze throughout a single day. So far it has performed admirably in rain, snow, sleet, and whatever else it might chuck down at us poor midwesterners. I 'd advise picking up some Greenland wax and applying a couple coats at the beginning of winter, it improves an already good wind resistance and makes the G- 1000 practically waterproof. I 've been very impressed and plan to keep the jacket for a very long time. I use the jacket daily for walking the dog in any and all weather, and would n't hesitate to take it snowboarding, winter trekking, or commuting by bike. I did have one issue where the hem cinch stop popped off leaving the flex cord dangling out of the bottom of the jacket, but found it easy to repair since the cord is routed into the inner pockets. I just cut the frayed end and put the stop back on. Looks like it came brand new.

LOVE this jacket! I 'm 6' 2 and bought XL for extra movement and layering when snowboarding. Pros: The synthetic fill is the best I 've ever felt, I honestly thought it was down fill. I love that it stays warm and holds its lofty puffiness when in wet snow conditions. My other Sitka down jacket loses its loft quickly in the arms and back when I start perspiring from a morning of hiking or snowboarding. But's it's so soft a cozy. I often just wear a t- shirt or thin base layer under it if I 'm just staring around a camp fire. It's very warm and the hand and chin backings are super soft. Cons: My only complaint is that it does n't have a well placed hood draw string for windy conditions. The single draw string on the hood is more a retention string for side to side movement of your head. And the outer fabric is very delicate, I know its gon na snag and tear on a tree branch one of these days.... I personally wish it was a little bit thicker like on my wife's Expedition down jacket.

This jacket served me well for 10 years of steady use every winter/fall and I finally replaced it. The quality is superb, the new Pertex Shield on the shoulders/arms gives it a much more durable feel. It has a premium feel in the hand and is a nice blend of weight/durability. Fits great with layers underneath, but also works well as a mid- layer under a shell. I 'm a fan of the new color options too. In summary, this is a durable, lightweight, packable and versatile jacket that does its job in the back- country but transitions seamlessly to the front- country. Highly recommended.

I like the cut of OR jackets. I am 6 ’ 1 ” 235. The Helium Down does not disappoint regarding warmth. It has that soft down feeling with added structural integrity where one might carry a pack. The gusseting in the arm allow for a full range of motion without much rise. I have long arms and can still draw out without the jacket tightening too much in the back. If for some reason I found myself in dire need of more warmth I could wear it underneath a jacket or shell because it could compress enough to almost be a base layer and not sacrifice its loft. At which point I am certain to roast.

Love that this uses a fairly high fill power down( 800+), making it warm and space/weight efficient. I have higher fill power items like MH ghost whisperer UL( 1000 FP), but most UL garments use fragile fabrics and do n't have any weather protection, so they 're really limited to cold, dry weather. The Helium Down Jacket has weather resistance in key areas due to the Pertex Diamond Fuse panels, which makes it more versatile. It wo n't be a great outer layer if you 're expecting heavy rain, but I wear it by itself in a light mist or under a shell if heavy rain is expected. The Pertex panels are a little crinkly, but not as loud as some reviews suggest. I found the sizing to be accurate. This is quickly becoming a staple of my wardrobe from fall through spring. Love the zip out silk liner as a stand alone lite duty jacket, a nd the shell works excellent as a rain cover. This is a great system for a beginner or an expert in the field or out on the town. I 've had my RG foray for a little over 3 years and it's been pretty good to me. I 've mostly worn the puffer by itself in cool weather. There's little wind resistance to it, so be warned. Otherwise it's a good standalone layer on even the coldest days for short exposure times. I 've had to wear the jacket on several rainy days, and the full system during an Easter trip to the UK in '23. Scotland, Wales, and northern England are n't known for great weather in March and this trip was no exception. We endured near constant wind and periodic rain& sleet. When we went to London it rained for several hours one day and we were in it at its hardest. The fabric shed water well without getting soaked, as I 'd expect from OR. All in all, it's a good buy.

I ’ ve owned 2 other puffers( Patagonia and Rab). The Helium combined my favorite aspects of both jackets into one and improved on some other aspects. Only thing I can ’ t attest to is the jackets durability. I ’ ve had my Patagonia puffer for nearly 10 years, hoping this one lasts that or more! Pros:- lightweight but very warm( tested in the 20 ’s and 30F so far, expecting to see how it fairs in the negatives soon)- hand pockets are lined and warm- hood is a must have for long bouts in cold weather IMO- phone pocket on the chest fits a new pro max IPhone with a case on it- large internal open pockets, probably won ’ t use much but nice additional feature- the hood and shoulders have a water repellant material Con: My only negative is the sizing, I ’ m 6 ’ 200lbs and usually wear an XL for jackets. A large would have fit more athletically with room for another layer underneath. I live in a place it can get to- 50 or colder so having space to layer is wicked helpful, but an XL is a tough too big.

I 've only had this jacket for a couple of days, but I am already very impressed. It's very warm, the zips are all high quality, the pockets are sooo soft and nice to put my hands in. I love how the neck comes right up to my chin so even if I do n't have the hood on, I can zip the neck right up and I feel like I am wearing a scarf. Very happy with the styling too. It has a lot of really nice features and attention to detail. Great jacket for the price.

I just got this jacket, but by first impressions of use... WOW! This thing is exactly what I wanted. I have a shell for warmer days but had to bundle too many layers to stay warm on those cold days. I run very hot while skiing, I get to the bottom and need to strip or open all my layers to not overheat. This jacket gives you breathability while carrying the insulation that keeps you warm on the chair up. Literally the only thing that could be improved is the size of the armpit ventilation. Like I mentioned above I run hot so I would have enjoyed more airflow when I open the vents. But that tiny detail is the only thing I can find at fault and it's more of a personal preference. Bravo Mountain Hardwear!

Got this jacket today, looks pretty good! Quality is great! I love those side pockets! I 'm going to use it as everyday mild winter down jacket. The only thing: I see it's mentioned that 6' 1 is size M, but I would consider to choose L. M will fit, but imagine if you will want to put on a sweater under the jacket? It can be really tight.

I bought this at the employee store. The shell feels like it has more texture and feels durable. Those things were obvious. The size is nice and roomy without being too bulky, It fits just right. I ca n't speak of cold winters just yet, but layering this with something under would be enough for me. The color is true to the picture. It has some good pocket verity.( small on the front, regular pockets on the side, and pockets on the inside. This is good jacket overall. Only way they could improve on this jacket is if they went with 700 fill.

These bibs were fantastic for my snowboarding trip in Breckenridge. These bibs were extra flexible and did n't make me feel as constrained as other bibs have. They fit well and were very comfortable for riding from first chair to last. We ended up having a pretty wide range of temperatures from 40 to- 10. The vents did a great job of keeping me cool on the warmer days, and I only had to add a single layer of thermal underwear( top and bottom) to be comfortable on the- 10 days!

So far, so good! Living right outside the Middlesex Fells, the weather can be incredibly variable year round, and this jacket handles the rain and wind well. I 've found this jacket has managed to keep me warm when it's cold out, but also not overheat me in the event the sun is out because of how light the jacket is. The vents also help a lot with that, too. Definitely recommend!

[ I bought this as a gift for my husband for an upcoming trip. He is 6' and around 190 lbs, and I got him the XL. The sleeves are a bit long but they do have velcro to adjust and tighten them around the wrist. It's roomy but great for layering, though I think if he were ever to pull out the inner layer of the thin down shell, the outer jacket would be huge on him. The length is great for his longer torso, it covers his butt well. He had requested no hood and this one is detachable( not easy to find a decent ski jacket without a hood!) so another win!
