It is windproof and water- repellant which is perfect for me. It also has a tall collar that helps keep the wind out. It is true to size and fits me well. The back is made of breathable spandex. Vest looks awesome, but description says it has a sherpa lined upper body and hood. Of which it has neither. Carhartt should do a bit more proofreading for its customers. Thanks for making great products but your website team needs a time out.

I ordered this vest to wear under my winter jacket to provide some heat during the cold weather. This works great. I have a 2 block walk from my train station so I put the vest heat on before I get off the train and when I hit the street, it is nice and warm and you can feel the heat on the front and back inside the winter jacket. Never kept it on all day to check the battery time. But I like the fact that you can use any other battery pack to power the vest. Vest is true to size and you want it snug so that the heated sections closer to the body.
