Bought these to use as an alternative to fleece lined work pants. Much prefer these as it provides more flexibility, yet keeps you warm. They fit well and pair with my canvas work pants. I particularly like the idea that if the weather warms up enough, I can simply take them off, whereas with lined pants, you 're stuck unless you keep an additional pair of pants with you. These launder well too. The seams in them are placed well so there's no `` tugging '' or tightness. To me, they 're a great cold weather investment.

Wore under double- front jeans or canvas pants in single- digit temperatures with negative wind chills and my legs stayed warm while moving/working. Their light weight is nice for putting in a pack if it gets too warm while hunting or hiking. They are also comfortable to lounge in in warmer temperatures! But I did have to size up to an extra large which I have to do with all Carhartt space layers for their shirts. But I like the fit and I like the materials. I wear them at work and it's a lot better to sweat in these than it is a cotton shirt. I believe these are the newer models also as they do n't have the sewn on Carhartt tag. Nonetheless they are still quality shirts but are a little on the pricey side at$ 50 each. But still worth it in my opinion.

Great design. This is a perfect shirt- jac to wear over a hoodie, probably the best I have come across. It is a lighter weight denim, so allows flexibility and movement with the hoodie. The size is perfect for it, so this is probably too roomy if you do n't wear it over something. Ca n't have it both ways. The denim is a classic indigo blue, and the interior chest pocket is handy. The sleeve lining is smart being nylon makes it easy to put on and off. My only complaint is that the interior fleece is styled to look like the old blanket lining. Boy do I miss that original Carhartt blanket lining, might have been a little scratchy but was far more durable than fleece will ever be. I 'd expect this fleece lightweight lining to sag in the years ahead, but it is too soon to tell. There are n't many clothes that hold up like Carhartt so I 'm optimistic!

[ This is a great hunting jacket. I wanted an tough outside lawyer to withstand the thicket, block wind and rain, and allow me to wear layers. This is perfect for that purpose. Also, I 've read a few reviews about how some do not like how the zipper goes up too high, but that really is n't a problem. In fact, I 'm heavy wind or extremely cold weather, I see it as a plus because you can close up more, but if it is uncomfortable just do n't zip all the way way up( common sense).
