These shorts( and a pair of Prana pants) are my favorite bottoms to wear and I have worn them in 12 countries( and counting), so they have had a LOT of wear. They are great for hiking, sight- seeing, and everyday use. I was worried about ordering them online without having the chance to try them on. However, their fit is great. I was also disappointed that when I ordered them the only color in my size was Earthtone. However, I am actually happy with the color and think it looks better in person. I have hand washed them, line dried, machine washed, and machine dried. They dry quickly, have a bit of stretch( which is great for being active), and did n't show the massive amounts of sweat in hot, humid climates. Honestly, these shorts have paid for themselves. I have also received many compliments about this pair of shorts.

I have already told so many people about these shorts. I swear if they discontinue them I will be devastated! The inseam is perfect, no rolling up and therefore no chafing. The waistband is also perfect, no rolling down. These shorts stay exactly where you want them. Not to mention the pocket space! [ These are my favorite shorts! The sizing does run small, so size down one size, but the sizing has been consistent year after year. The leg openings are wide enough to make the shorts comfortable and the length is flattering without showing your cheeks. I ’ m glad that I ’ ve purchased some of the great colors throughout the years that are no longer offered( pink, orange, macaw blue, collegiate navy, green, and nocturnal). Columbia should always offer black, grey, and navy as staple colors while introducing trending colors each year.

I bought a pair of these shorts at a Columbia outlet and LOVE them SO MUCH. I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ”, 105 lbs, and wear XS. As other reviewers have said, the waistband is a little looser than I typically prefer( and definitely looser than my XS Columbia skorts), but these still fit well, feel great,& look fantastic! It is SUCH a flattering fit, length,& design. I will absolutely purchase more pairs! I ’ m bummed the website is out of XS in some colors. Yes, it would be great if Columbia will take our feedback and make the waistband tighter in future iterations of this item, but you can purchase these with confidence as they are. [ This is the second time I have purchased these shorts. I finally wore out the first pair which I purchased 2 years ago. I know the shorts are designed for fishing and ocean- related stuff. Yes, I use them for everyday wear as well as for the sport I play which is Lawn Bowls. The side pocket is great for holding everything from my lip balm to my measure for bowls. The only thing I find that is not so good is the stitching along the bottom of front pockets had to be resewn as this just does n't seem to hold. Other than that This is a great pair of shorts.
