The pants have zippers from ankle to thigh I so I could easily put them on without taking my hiking boots off and then remove them before getting back in the car to keep my seat dry. I am 5' 3 '' and 143lbs. I wear a medium but wanted these pants large to fit over leggings and cold winter wear for a trip to Iceland. They are baggy as they should be. I bought a large and have room to wear both baselayer and leggings over. I like them baggy; they cinch tight and the ankles have good velcro and long leg zippers for a quick pull on in sudden rain. I 'm excited to take these on my trip. I am a true `` medium '' and could wear these over single leggings in that size but, I 'm skydiving and need the wind and rain protection so extra layers are essential. Trip in July, let you know how they hold up after.

[ I was looking for a set for snowmobiling, and these pants definitely did the job. I love that they are adjustable at the waist so when I was on the sled, I did n't have to worry about them moving around. I only wore leggings underneath and was plenty warm on single digit Fahrenheit days going 30 mph+. My only small issue was that they were a little short, but my legs are super long so I would 've needed a 34 '' inseam for them to go all the way down to the ground. It was n't an issue with my taller snow boots I had on anyways.

Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. Zippers are fail points for waters so we elected to minimize the water ingress points. Tl; dr kept us dry. Breathed well for intense, medium duration active wear

I 'm a big guy, 6' 7 '' and 380lbs. So finding warm comfortable bibs has been a problem since I was 12. I do have carhart bibs, which seemed to b my best option. But, not really that warm, movement sucks, and they feel heavy. I was looking at the hubs, n seen they had moose sized bibs. On a whim, I ordered them. Had a trip to northern wi planned, high temp for the weekend was guna b 0, with wind. I ordered the pants and jacket to replace some old faithful ones that have been reliable for years. I 've always been happy with the Helium line for backpacking. Although I would n't call them super durable thats not really what they are meant for. I use them as the lightweight layer to keep rain off on the occasional rain during backpacking trips or light rain.

I bought medium. I 'm 5' 9 '', 175 lbs, 32 '' waist and 31 ''- 32 '' inseam. Details: Material and build feels good. I like the cinch cord being on the side if I decide to surf with these hot tights. Maybe I could have squeezed into a size small for tighter fit if getting thrashed in surf. But bought online and for whitewater kayaking in NC, they 're perfect! [ bought these for a 10 day sailing trip. we had all day rain one day and the pants kept me dry. I was questioning whether the full zip would allow water pentation, but it did not in my case of mostly standing. The full zip was great for getting them on and off easily without removing footwear. I was also able to sit on wet surfaces without water coming through.
