Bought this shorts not knowing what to expect and after getting them, my favorite pair. Only downside is I wish it had an extra zipper pocket.

[ I stepped out on a limb here; my last pair of Patagucci running shorts causes chafing on my upper thighs, so choosing the Multi- Trails 8 ” was a big step for me. Ive been on a handful of runs with them. I enjoy the pocket space. No chafing. And the fabric is quiet. I dont like them. I LOVE them.< 3 xoxo

I love TNF wander shorts. A few summers ago they came out with two pocket version which were awesome. These are perfect for hiking, working out, and kayaking( super quick dry) or any outdoor pursuits. These are linerless which I prefer and feel comfortable. I ordered my normal size in north face and fit perfect. I have the black and the blue moss. Highly recommend!

Love these as a lightweight summer short. I have a couple pairs in different colors that I rotate through. Really like the drawstring waistband and not having to deal with a belt. The ferrosi fabric is lightweight and durable. They look great too!

5 Wes D
They gave the Ferrosi's an adjustable waist draw chord so you do n't have to wear a belt. Excellent shorts, high quality, nice fit, and feel.

5
My third pair of Ferosi shorts- they wear well and look great.

Outdoor Research Ferrosi Shorts are my go- to shorts for hiking! They are fantastic for anything from a short day hike to a multi- day trek! They are lightweight, tough and very comfortable! 5 Laura N
Incredibly comfortable, I love the longer inseam. I 've worn hiking multiple times and never experience any chaffing. Also very light and breathable material but still feels durable.

5 AK
I recently purchased a pair of ferrosi shorts, 7 '' length. I 'm 5' 4 and I think the length is great. They are come to a couple of inches above my knee( long enough that there is no inner thigh chaffing) and the shorts are n't too tight in the leg opening( I 'm more curvy vs slim in the thigh). I have n't had a chance to use them heavily yet- will update if I see the need, but expect that they will be great based on what I 've seen so far.

5 BeeBkes
These shorts are the best travel/ adventure shorts! Hiking, biking, and even trail running in a pinch. These shorts are durable and fashionable. Like other Ferrosi collection- they dry quick too

5 Samantha S
Unbelievable shorts with amazing stretch for those big thigh girlies. I think my only critique is the pockets stick out a little too much for my liking. However the deep pockets are very VERY much appreciated! The waist band of these shorts is supple and so comfy, never a moment of feeling like it ’s too tight or had buttons pushing into me. Can be used for hikes, swims, paddle boarding, and climbing.

5 MA
Im a female in carpentry and these are my favorite shorts! They do n't ride up, the inseam is perfect length& ca n't see anything up my shorts when I 'm on a ladder, the waist band is so stretchy and comfy these are perfect with my heavy tool belt, they keep me so cool on hot days. And they have a sporty yet professional look to them. These shorts are perfect.

These shorts fit perfect. They do n't ride up or constrict when working out or running! love them!

5 erin H
I have already told so many people about these shorts. I swear if they discontinue them I will be devastated! The inseam is perfect, no rolling up and therefore no chafing. The waistband is also perfect, no rolling down. These shorts stay exactly where you want them. Not to mention the pocket space! I 've got enough room for my phone, an inhaler, a soft flask and a gel or two. Love them. I wish they came in different colors, I 'd have them all. I 'm 5' 7, 170 and I got a large, which fit great.

5 Maggie S
good pocket size. material might be a bit thick for summer

5 Kirra D
If I could afford it, I would buy 10 pairs of these and wear them every single day! They are super comfy and durable. I mostly wear them under skirts, but sometimes I wear them as actual shorts for activities like kayaking, etc where I want a fitted layer that wo n't ride up my legs.

5 Moriah B
These shorts are overall great. I 've been looking for some biker shorts that are n't super long but still stay in place, these fit the bill x100. The pockets are plenty deep enough for a phone which will also stay put, even through intensive activity. These shorts have stayed in place through sprint workouts, weightlifting and hiit.

I 've had these for over a month now and> 10 workouts. They fit great, size M for an athletic- but- not- huge guy, 6' 2 '' 200# with a waistline that varies 31- 33 ''. Quick drying, great for runs and everything else I 've done in them. They 'll be right at home for daily wear when the weather warms up. If durability maintains, these are a 10/10 for me. Quality feels just a bit better than comparable Patagonia shorts.

I practically live in these shorts during the warm months! The material is comfortable, the colors are fun, and they don ’ t restrict my movement. I picked these up( 2 pair) for a road trip through several national parks. The long inseam is incredible as I 'm 6' 5 ''. They were amazing. Light, flexible, durable. They made my trip hassle free and comfy, even on 12 hour drives.

5 Etim
Great shorts for casual or active wear. I normally wear a 32 but ordered a 31 based on reviews and the fit is perfect without the need for a belt.

5 Brian M
These are my favorite shorts. Great for biking, rafting, and most everything else I do all summer long. The material takes a beating, and they dry fairly quickly. The pocket design keeps my wallet out of the way yet accessible.

5 Brian B
Extremely light weight. The stretchy water resistant material is awesome and they look very nice. Great shorts, I wear them often.

5 Upper Left
I love this version of the Ferrosi shorts. I have spent far too much time and money trying to find shorts that met my expectations. These are durable, fit well, and are made of material that is light and stretchy. I do n't overheat in these and they do n't seem to constrict my movement. My only request would be for rear pockets and maybe another belt loop or two, but I understand why the pockets were left off this version as well. Overall, these are great quality shorts. I own several pair in different colors and they are always the first shorts I reach for when I have a choice.

[ I 'm on the edge between a large and x- large. Went XL and it's roomy but still fits great because it cinches down. This hat is cool because it has a brim for sun protection but it's not huge and floppy. Size up for a bit more brim, or down for a more compact brim. It's light, well- made and protects you for those hot Summer days or desert hikes.

5 Hothead
[ This hat is perfect for the hiking I do in Colorado. The brim is narrow enough to not get caught in the wind, and yet it still protects my head, face, and neck from sun rays. It has the sun protection of a larger sunhat, yet it's smaller like a ball cap. I also appreciate the sizing adjustment in the back.

These pants are awesome. Great baggier fit for people with larger muscular legs. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 or 188cm and I got a L regular. Slightly long but nothing a belt can ’ t help. I took them on a mountaineering adventure snowshoeing through knee to waist deep snow without getting even a drop wet. Incredible breathability, stretch, and comfort. I love the color too! They even ripped because I snagged them with a crampon and still didn ’ t let any water through!

5 Tony

5 A.D.
Wore while snowshoeing in cold conditions. They worked well with equipment and kept dry and warm

5 Christopher D
One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.

I ca n't speak more highly of both these pants and the jacket. Both stretchy and comfortable, and also breathable. Do n't feel like I 'm wearing a plastic poncho at all. And they kept me totally dry all day hiking in Peru during the rainy season.

5 Scott the Biker
I picked these up for winter fatbiking. Combined with a merino base layer, they are nearly perfect. They keep the cold air at bay and breath really well, like I have n't seen from other pants. Nearly perfect. As another reviewer mentioned, after less than 10 rides, the seated area has started piling. Excellent otherwise.

5 Evan K
I bought these pants for ski touring, mountaineering, and backpacking and I have been nothing but impressed. The material is strong but still breathable and it repels water well. On a recent trip to Peru they kept me warm but also cool during the day. I am very impressed by how well these pants maintain a good temperature. This has quickly become one of my favorite pairs of pants. I am 5 ’ 11 ” 150lbs and a medium fits me great.

5 Chip D
Best Adventure pants ever, feels like you are wearing sweat pants, but not in a hot way!

5 Ken A

The style of fit is my favorite on pants, so I 'm biased. But a nice clean taper on a lightweight, durable jogger is amazing. Ca n't recommend these enough.

I found myself wearing sweat pants all the time because... you know, it works and feels good but I do n't want to look like a guy that wears sweat pants all the time. Now I got these pants and not only am I comfortable, but I also am able to keep it classy:) This pants are great for an expert at comfort. I feel like I could even wear these to work. I advise you combine it with a nice top.

I love the casual look and feel mixed with the tech performance. I 'm someone who often goes from a meeting to outside play and these fit the bill perfectly. The drawstring waist is super comfy and eliminates the need for belt, which I hate having to use on tech pants.

The fabric of this pant is excellent, the UPF protection, water and stain resistance, and still highly breathable on hot humid days. The cut is very comfortable and the added stretch makes this perfect for any activity, traveling, or just for casual occasions. I have been wearing this much more often than I expected.

These pants are perfect for hiking or yard work. I love how light they are while still resisting wind and scrapes. I look forward to wearing these for many years to come. They have great pockets and I appreciate that the waist string actually holds the pants up when my cellphone and keys are in my pocket.

I 've had several pairs of rain pants from other manufacturers over the years and these are the best so far. They do n't restrict my leg movements, do n't leak, and are easy to get on and off. The rise is high, so you have good overlap with your top and the waist drawstring seems sturdy enough, although I pair them with suspenders also. Rain and wet brush are expected if you are outside much of the year here in the PNW, so you need some good rain pants.

My issue is n't with the pants which are great, BUT with the sizing chart- I am 6' 3 '' and 36 '' waist and a large size works for me but I have an 34 '' inseam and the chart recommendation is to get a tall size however I think regular would have been much better. The pant legs bunch up at the bottom when I have mid waterproof hiking shoes on. The OR pro deal is great but unfortunately they do n't allow exchanges or returns. I would liked to have swapped this pair for a large regular.
