Very comfy, great fit and generous pockets. I can fit all my essentials; phone, keys, wallet, lip balm, handkerchief, sunglasses. Only wish the flaps had a secure closure. The flaps are heavy enough that things don ’ t fall out and the third pocket zips shut. Still a win.

Finally shorts I can wear! I ’ m in my 50s and petite( 5 ’ 3 ” and 125- ish) with an athletic build, so I have thighs and a butt. These shorts in a medium fit comfortably without being tight or baggy, and don ’ t ride up! Amazing! I ’ ve been wearing them casually, on weekends, and even just walked a very sweaty 5K road race while wearing them! No ride- up, no chafing. Just bought these shorts and they are perfect. I have tried many other brands and Columbia fits exactly right. Not too big in the butt, the right length for average sized men, and with the comfort waist they are so comfortable. The material is light enough for very hot weather and they shed water as well. Will keep buying Columbia shorts.

I have owned a pair of the Smith Summit Convertible Cargo Pants in ‘ Medium Olive ’ for 4- years now and have exclusively worn them as shorts. After so many great adventures they ’ re still hanging tuff, I had to grab the shorts version in Court Blue! The waistband for these is much more comfortable although I don ’ t have much of an issue in comfort with the original. The fastened belt seems a little thinner, but doesn ’ t seem less durable, and secures at the waist very well. It is slightly harder to adjust than the predecessor, which isn ’ t very much an inconvenience for a fastening belt. I ’ ll also note this pair seems to be a bit lighter which is a very welcome addition! Fit is loose and comfy yet secure, just the same as the OG pair, cant wait to see the wear over the years!

I 've owned many pairs of the original Stretch Zion shorts and now have moved to the new version. The new Stretch Zion II is has a few changes, but in my opinion, they are still a great pair of shorts. The minor changes like the plastic button and the new fabric still work fine and did n't bother me. Going to the plastic button from the metal one only took a few times of wearing them to get easier to button. The new fabric is still super soft and comfortable but has a sort of shine to it when the light hits them just right. Not a big deal for me. The things that make these my favorite shorts are the comfortable fabric, the adjustable waist band, the color options, and the different pockets. They are also very versatile, I can wear them for activities like hiking and also to a nice restaurant. I own multiple pairs because I wear them all summer.

I love these shorts and remain super impressed with prAna ’s quality and design. It is my Go To for travel and hiking clothes. My choice used to be Patagonia, but it has turned into more of a fashion company and the quality has nosedived and prices skyrocketed in recent years.
