Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. [ This is my 2nd Watertight Jacket and still ca n't believe how great the jacket is. Not only does it keep my dry during heavy rainfall but it also protects me from the cold wind during the winter months here in south Texas.
