[ I had another Columbia Rain jacket and left if on a plane. I researched many rain jackets for what I wanted and ended up going with Columbia again. I am so happy I got this coat for the torrential rains that are happening in California right now. I usually wear a medium... sized up to a large and I am glad I did. The sleeves are long enough to hide my cold hands and I 'm able to wear layers underneath for warmth. It still looks good. My L covers my butt( 5' 6 '', 34DD, short arms, 145 lbs.) I think Colombia is the only one that makes a fleece lined raincoat and I absolutely love it for cold rain. You CAN layer in other rain coats but when you just want a quick trip to take the dogs out in the rain in the cold weather nothing beats a warm rain coat when you don ’ t need a heavy winter coat. I really like this jacket. Being petite, I love the adjustable Velcro and elastic on the wrist cuffs. The cut is slim but not tight. I tend to size up for comfort. I usually wear a size 8- 10 in shirts and a large is perfect. I can cinch the waist if desired. The material has a slight stretch which I find very comfortable. Zippered pockets ensure goods stay safe. The interior is lined in a sleek material resulting in a very well constructed jacket overall. The only negative is subjective- the collar stands straight up whether zippered or not. If that bothers you, this might not be the jacket for you. It will likely touch your neck or chin constantly. On a windy day, however, I think this neckline will keep the wind out. The waterproof exterior also adds to keeping rain out.

I live in New England, and I 'm traveling to `` old '' England later this year. Between our record rainfall back home and variable conditions across the pond, I needed a good raincoat. Cue* hours* of research, which landed me here. So far I 've worn this coat out in several storms for 10- 20min at a time( walking the dog) and after a quick shake off in the mudroom, it's completely dry. And so am I! overall very solid except for the limited pockets. works as an outer layer for skiing, and the waterproofing it's great.

Loves: the fabric is top notch, it sheds water like nothing else and feels very durable. It does get hot when exerting, but the pit zips and mesh pockets work great and the jacket stays dry inside. Cons: Ca n't walk very comfortably in this, the collar is high and stiff and rubs my face constantly. So, not great for long hikes. But for everything else, this is a fantastic rain jacket. If they made a lighterweight one that was made for movement, I 'd definitely get it!

[ This jacket is a great all around windbreaker. The fit is oversized and can fit over a lot of layers+ allows a full range of motion. The snaps and zipper are solid. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.
