The lighter colour has the pockets and i typically wear the light side out when I am out and about and need pockets. I played in them as soon as I left the store and they performed well. I like that they are not super short, but long enough to play hard. I tend to wear lighter weight shorts when I play, but in winter months and cooler days these are great. When I am indoors these are great too. I have a big backside and sometimes shorts tend to fit tighter and affect the wear if an item, but these are still a good diy for thicker thighs as well. I have worn them a few times to lift in the gym and I am able to have good movement even when doing squats. Solid addition to my athletic kit.

Love these shorts, bought a second pair now as well. I have a pair of the Shadow Grey and the White Cream color. The shorts are clean and tight looking, I enjoy wearing them with a plain white or black poly tee with some low cut white shoes. It's great for a summer date night outfit or just other casual event that you want to have a nice clean look for. Pockets are very usable and not too shallow. There is actually a right hand side small zip up pocket that is good for a car key or small set of keys or some cash. The unlined pants are nice that you do n't have to worry about extra boxer liners or brief liners. Price was good value and like the offering of colors for the most part. Highly recommend.

My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

I ordered a medium and I 'm 5' 9, 145 lbs, 29- 30 '' waist, and 40 '' hips. They are long enough to give appropriate coverage but still look so cute, I 've worn them out in public in the summer.
