Just bought these shorts and they are perfect. I have tried many other brands and Columbia fits exactly right. Not too big in the butt, the right length for average sized men, and with the comfort waist they are so comfortable. The material is light enough for very hot weather and they shed water as well. I have owned a pair of the Smith Summit Convertible Cargo Pants in ‘ Medium Olive ’ for 4- years now and have exclusively worn them as shorts. After so many great adventures they ’ re still hanging tuff, I had to grab the shorts version in Court Blue! The waistband for these is much more comfortable although I don ’ t have much of an issue in comfort with the original. The fastened belt seems a little thinner, but doesn ’ t seem less durable, and secures at the waist very well. It is slightly harder to adjust than the predecessor, which isn ’ t very much an inconvenience for a fastening belt. I ’ ll also note this pair seems to be a bit lighter which is a very welcome addition! Fit is loose and comfy yet secure, just the same as the OG pair, cant wait to see the wear over the years!
