I found myself typically running in an old pair of 5 ” PT shorts that I got issues from the Navy. I thought 5 ” was sufficient. Then I tried a pair of the 3 ” breakaways and my goodness, what a difference. These 3 ” breakaways make you feel faster, stronger, and they look stylish. The added bonus of the 3 ” length is that the shorts don ’ t feel restrictive or obtrusive particularly during long distances runs. These shorts feel, well, freeing. I bought a pair of these when they first came out a couple of years ago and always saved them for my `` dress '' shorts. I always looked forward to wearing them as they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. I finally decided to replace my lined Breeze shorts with the active breeze shorts because they are just so much more comfortable than the Breeze short. The extra comfort comes from the difference in the waste band. The old Breeze short had a typical stretch liner but the new active breeze short has more of smooth band where you do n't feel the waist band against the skin, you dont actually know you are wearing them.

Was looking for lightweight shorts to lounge in for a recent cruise, and decided on these. Extremely light weight, easily packable without wrinkles. Expected to just use for lounging, but so comfortable( feels like wearing nothing) and wrinkle free that I ended up pairing with nice polo and wore to dinner one evening. Would highly recommend and plan on getting other colors.

[ These shorts are now a permanent fixture in my training wardrobe because they are light and moisture wicking without riding up. The lining doesnt bunch or stick to the shorts themselves and while the pockets are small, the back pocket is a nice addition. Small pockets mean less bouncing and hitting my legs so overall that ’s a plus.

I normally don ’ t write reviews. But these are by far some of the most comfortable and flattering running shorts I ’ ve worn in a long time! I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” 115lbs and the XS was perfect. Waistband just right, not too tight or loose, and the rise is in- between typical mid- rise and high- rise so I don ’ t feel like I ’ m having to roll them down or pull them up to be flattering. Sitting down they don ’ t bunch up. I went back and bought them in every color. Just buy them for yourself before they sell out!
