These gloves remind me of TNF stuff from the 80's, amazing quality and thoughtful design with high end materials.

5 Gichan
These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between- 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under- 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

5 Debbie
I love my new gloves. Used them in the rain and they kept my hands warm and dry. Fit is perfect too.

5 Dean
I work Mountain Patrol in the San Bernardino mountains. I have used the North Face gear for a long time; it has never let me down. This is my second pair of this line, and they get the job done when you need it most.

5 Garett M.
My son is on snow, 4+ days a week. He ’s blown through a number of other gloves that are more expensive than the spark. I wear other Black Diamond mittens that have always been durable, warm, and comfortable. I ’ m anticipating that these will last longer than other more expensive gloves that my son has worn. Black Diamond makes great product.

5 Mackenzie W.
I ’ ve only bought this pair because my 5 year old pair was stolen. Through probably 40+ patrol days a year and countless ski and touring days these are consistently the best moderate cold gloves I ’ ve ever had. The leather is durable and the insulation is perfect. It ’s an excellent glove. Only con: BD gloves tend to fit a bit big for the size and it isn ’ t consistent across all gloves. Best to try before you order

5 Stephen B.
Hands down these are the best gloves I ’ ve ever worn. I ’ ve had other name brand gloves but the quality of these surpass every other brand.

5 MICHAEL M.
I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)

5 John D.
I mostly use these for winter backcountry skiing. Easy to get on and off. Warm enough and lots of dexterity. Very durable.

The only winter gloves my husband will wear! They are warm, keep his hands dry, and fit well. He uses them for everything from shoveling to skiing.

5 Stephen
Will be using them all winter. I am a full time ski instructor. They feel good and look like I will have warm and dry hands!

5 Doug
Found them on sale and had a gift card so thought I 'd give them a try. I love them! As long as you take care of them by washing them with NixWax and use leather balm they seem like they could last forever!

5 Jason
I do love the new gloves. I used the size chart and I feel like the XL was the right size for me. The look and material are of a high quality. They keep me warm in cold conditions skiing. For future builds I wish:- They had a zipper pouch for hand warmer and doubles as a vent. I would recommend these gloves and would purchase again.

Fit is good, quality is good, love the color combo and appearance. Have n't used the liner on a cold day yet to see how much warmer they are. Dexterity is good for a thick glove. Not typing texts with these but can uze zippers, adjust goggles and helmet, the basics you need on the mountain. Have n't check in the rain either but it wo n't be long to test that. Honestly all gore- tex is n't what it once was in the 80s. Pay for a name but it really does n't deliver that way it used to.

I got these for my son who spends a lot of time either shoveling the snow or playing with my grandson in the snow. We have had a lot of below zero windchills, and it becomes very dangerous for frostbite without the proper gloves. He absolutely loves these! He says they are the best gloves in below zero windchills! When temps are less harsh, and he takes my grandson outside to play in the snow, he says his hands are nice and warm! I highly reconnend these gloves for outside play and below zero windchills.

5 Jim54
I purchased these for the price($ 9. 95 pre Christmas sale). I was pleasantly surprised to find them warmer in 30 degree weather than my ski gloves that cost 4 times as much. They are warm, comfortable, and durable.

5 Kodiak
I purchased these for myself at 50% off. I would recommend these at that price point, but not at$ 20. The xl size is a bit smaller than other xl gloves, and wo n't fit a liner glove for skiing. Good for cold weather activities, but not extreme conditions. If you need extreme weather all day skiing gloves, consider something else. But for sunny, dry, seasonable skiing conditions these will work for the price. I use them for southern winter lake fishing/ boating, and for the price... I 'm satisfied.

5 Bob
I got these for 50% off and they are great. I would be happy with them even if I 'd paid full price. They are very warm, flexible, and comfortable. Do n't know how waterproof yet, but a great value.

So happy with my purchase. My daughter said her hands have never been warmer or dryer.

5 Active winter sports
I have a pair of these in the 3 finger claw type, they are my colder weather ski gloves. I got these for my teen kid since we go ski in colder temps( under 20F). These are nice and toasty and keep kid's hands warmer than the Scott gloves which are great for above 25F. I was able to get for the same price as Amazon so picking up at Dick's House of Sport was easy and we got to use them the next day. My pair of Hestras are going strong 5+ years later and still fine. At$ 110 the features Hestra should provide but does n't on these gloves were wrist tethers and a clip to keep the pair together( provided on their more expensive gloves) I added both myself which is easy to do. Even though they are expensive I think they will last years and years. Make sure to put the leather conditioner on the leather sections to keep them in good shape( it is sold separately).

I think these are great gloves… I had tried my daughters pair that had the different grip than these ones and really liked them so ordered these ones so they wouldn ’ t be entirely the same. These ones have dots on the palms instead. I consider myself to have bigger sized hands so sized up to a large. I definitely should ’ ve gotten the med! The fingers are too long for me and look funny to me. So I ’ m definitely just going to exchange for the med! They ’ re very frilly and work great on my iPhone. Just be careful with sizing! The med feel sung but not too tight. I had to pull them over my hands which is why I sized up thinking they ’ d just be slightly bigger. Overall I recommend these gloves!

I decided to go back to Dicks for the chairs because in my opinion they have a better selection than most. Dick ’s had numerous styles and colors to pick from. Plus of course alot of the Texans merchandise was on sell do I had to indulge myself.

I needed a pair of gloves for the sub zero weather we have been having here in Illinois. I did not want mittens and wanted a durable pair for the Shoveling, snowblowing and car pushing out of the snow banks. Kept the hands warm, the palms of the gloves still look brand new. Sometimes, paying a little is just the right move.

Frequently Asked Questions For Cool Ski Gloves

When searching for ski gloves, consider features such as insulation for warmth, waterproof materials to keep your hands dry, and breathability to prevent moisture buildup. Look for gloves with a good grip for handling ski poles and adjustable cuffs to keep snow out. Additionally, some gloves may offer touchscreen compatibility, allowing you to use your devices without removing them.

To choose the right size for ski gloves, start by measuring the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Compare your measurement to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. It's important to consider the fit; gloves should be snug but not too tight, allowing for some movement and dexterity. Additionally, think about the type of insulation and lining you prefer, as this can affect how the gloves fit and feel when worn.

Ski gloves are typically made from a combination of materials designed to provide warmth and waterproofing. Insulating materials like synthetic fibers or down are often used to retain heat, while waterproof membranes, such as GORE-TEX, help keep hands dry in wet conditions. Additionally, durable outer fabrics are commonly employed to resist abrasion and enhance overall performance in snowy environments. Many gloves also feature soft linings for added comfort and warmth.

Yes, certain styles of ski gloves are designed to perform better in various weather conditions. For colder, snowy environments, gloves with insulation and waterproof materials are ideal, as they help retain warmth and keep hands dry. In milder conditions, lighter gloves that offer breathability may be more comfortable. Additionally, gloves with features like gauntlet cuffs can provide extra protection against snow and wind, making them suitable for harsher weather.

Cool ski gloves are specifically designed for the demands of skiing and snowboarding, offering features that enhance performance and comfort on the slopes. Unlike regular winter gloves, they often include waterproof and breathable materials to keep hands dry while allowing moisture to escape. Additionally, ski gloves typically have reinforced palms for better grip, insulation for warmth, and longer cuffs to prevent snow from entering. These specialized designs ensure that skiers can maintain dexterity and warmth during their activities.

Insulated ski gloves are designed to provide warmth and comfort in cold weather conditions, making them essential for enjoying winter sports. The insulation helps to trap heat while allowing moisture to escape, keeping hands dry and warm during extended periods of use. Additionally, many insulated gloves feature waterproof materials that protect against snow and wet conditions, enhancing overall performance on the slopes. The combination of insulation and weather-resistant features ensures that skiers can maintain dexterity and grip while navigating various terrains.

Yes, ski gloves can be used for other winter activities such as snowboarding or hiking. They are designed to provide warmth and protection from the elements, making them suitable for various outdoor pursuits in cold weather. Many ski gloves feature waterproof materials and insulation, which can enhance comfort during activities that involve snow or wet conditions. However, it's important to consider the specific features of the gloves to ensure they meet the demands of your chosen activity.

When selecting ski gloves, it's important to consider both fit and comfort to ensure optimal performance on the slopes. Look for gloves that provide a snug fit without being too tight, allowing for dexterity while still keeping your hands warm. Additionally, consider the insulation and lining materials, as these can affect overall comfort and warmth. Finally, features like adjustable cuffs and wrist straps can enhance fit and help keep snow out, contributing to a more enjoyable skiing experience.

To ensure your ski gloves are durable for long-term use, look for materials that are known for their strength and resistance to wear, such as leather or high-quality synthetic fabrics. Reinforced stitching and additional protective features can also enhance durability, especially in high-stress areas. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning and proper storage, will help prolong the life of your gloves. Additionally, consider gloves with waterproof and breathable membranes to protect against moisture and maintain comfort during use.

To maintain ski gloves, it is important to follow a few care instructions. First, always check the manufacturer's label for specific cleaning guidelines, as materials can vary. Generally, you should hand wash them in cold water with a mild detergent and avoid using fabric softeners. After washing, air dry them away from direct heat sources to preserve their shape and functionality.
