I love wearing this hat. I am a letter carrier and have a walking route so I use it for head/face protection. I have washed it a few times and dried it in accordance with the instructions each time. The last time I washed it and was drying it by way of the instructions but I got a little inpatient and decided to throw it in the dryer with air dry. I could not believe it but it still shrunk. So my next one will be dried by there recommendation.

It also made of a light weight material and is easy to clean after when I can ’ t keep my hands off my hat. [ My head measurement suggests either a medium or a large. Based on a review I saw on the manufacturer's site suggesting to go with the large in the same situation, I did, and I am glad I did. This hat is super- comfortable and light. I got it in black and it's the kind of hat you can wear in town or on the trail, because in black it does n't look `` outdoorsy ''. I 've been wearing it under a sun hoody for maximum sun protection.
