I pair this visor with earmuffs when I wear my parka with the hood up. I wanted to shade my face and eyes from the sun. I bought this hat for a recent trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. It exceeded my expectations; it was simply outstanding. I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well.
