Very well made slacks with soft 2. 5 inch elastic band that hugs my waist nicely. Surprised to find that the zipper is fake but with the elastic waist they slide down easily after undoing the clasps. The two clasps make the waistband lay nicely. The legs are roomy but not huge. The fabric is a bit stretchy and allow for bending and squatting with comfort. I usually wear an 8 and ordered a Medium. They were big and I believe a small would fit well. The attention to detail and finishing makes these slacks stunning enough to dress up but are comfortable and durable enough to do anything else in them.

Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. [ I love these pants. It has a texture of a windbreaker so if your thighs touch you will hear the ‘ swish- swish ’ sound as you walk but that doesn ’ t bother me. It ’s cold where I stay and these keep me warm enough outside. My hips are significantly wider than my hips and I normally wear a size XL due to my hips being wider but the string pulls the waist in fine. I also do love the extra room in the waist so that I could wear a pair of leggings underneath for extra warmth. Love the design of the pants. I love it when the logo is noticeable and the seams showing on the front and sides adds details. Whoever was in the lab with this design was top tier! The only thing I would change is the pull string to make the wide- leg into joggers. Got these in a medium( I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ”, 165lb), and the fit is wonderful. They don ’ t look too baggy, but I still have great mobility( if you have the problem of big thighs, you know tight pants make squatting and floor- sitting difficult). If I could change one thing, I would make them and inch or two longer, but I just wear them with sandals or flats( yes, I pull them off as business casual at work).

This is my first Fjallraven pair of trousers. I 've previously bought from other outdoor brands. Pros: Material seems high quality and very breathable even with long johns underneath. It feels durable and the stitching is immaculate. It has a lot of ventilation pockets and deep storage pockets. Deep pocket placement is great so items wo n't poke you while walking or squatting/sitting. The ankles are slightly flared so thick socks and boots can fit comfortably. They also have buttons so you can do a tighter fit. It is comfortably high waisted and makes movement smooth/easy. I have a curvy figure and the fit is very flattering. No crotch seam. Cons: there are questionable too many seams, which squeeze on you when squatting or bending the knee, but the pants may be flexible because of the seams. It is not a stretchy material so your size is very important. It hugs your waist, so it is not easy to put the pants on as a curvy person. Once it's on, it feels like a second skin though. It does run small. I was hoping a large would let me wear a base layer, but it just barely fits. With the amount of seams, a base layer will probably protect your skin from seams digging in. Will update once I take it out for a few weeks.

I bought these a month ago in every colour. They are now the only pant I wear. Currently on day 4 of wearing the black ones every day on a wet Oregon coast trip. They repel water, brush clean and are not stinky! The fit also stays true- no stretch or pilling. I am in love with these. I am 5 ’ 4 apple shaped and normally wear a 20W pant. These fit perfectly. The 30 ” inseam is perfect. I wish the non- straight version was offered in multiple inseam length for plus size. Also- more colors for plus please. We have money and will spend it on quality products.

I ’ ve been looking for flattering outdoor plus size pants for so long and cried when I found these. I was worried they would be a slim 22 since I ’ m on the upper end of my weight range& this being an outdoor brand, but they fit and look so good!! Plus they are way more comfortable than I expected. The material is light and soft, the length is perfect with boots since I have a 29 inch inseam, and there ’s even some stretch over time. I ’ m so so happy& would/will probably buy again.

Great material, I like all the improvements done to the pockets and to the roll up legs. Material is a little thinner than past models but this only improves the fit and stretch. They are still very durable. Great fit and very comfortable. Should be noted that these are sized a little differently, They are a whole size smaller than my Halle Pants from previous seasons, but both my size 18 and size 20 fit exactly the same! Minor issue, the pants themselves go from hiking to office casual with ease. I will never stop buying these so long as they fit me.;)

I love the Halle straight pants in short. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and 135 lbs, the size 8 fit perfectly. I use the draw string as the day progresses to keep them on snug at the waist. I do not wear the skin tight. Great all around traveling pant, and great for outdoor adventures.

I LOVE these pants!!! I have 15 pair of the Halle Straight in tall and just ordered another pair. I love this color and am getting another pair. I needed a lighter color to stay cool for the summer heat. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THESE BACK!!! I had to return the Halle Pant II. They did not work for me.

Comfy but stylish
I ordered Halle( original) and Halle Straight, and I liked the Halle Straight better. I am 5 ’ 8 ” 180 lbs and size 12 was good fit for me. I like that you can rolll them up. My iPhone SE fits into the side pocket, but my daughter ’s iPhone 11 doesn ’ t.
