Elijah did like the material that the pants are made of. I washed the pants and they did not shrink or change there form. The pockets are a great addition to the pants. The fabric feels durable yet soft, with just the right amount of stretch to move comfortably. The cargo pockets are perfectly placed and surprisingly roomy without adding bulk, and the ankle bungees are a nice touch for customizing the fit and look. The embroidered Nike logo is subtle but adds that clean, signature detail. For me, the only challenge was that my test pair came in a size too large, so I didn ’ t get the perfect fit I would have liked. After a wash the fabric becomes super soft and feels wonderfully comfortable. They are n't thin so they probably are not ideal for the height of a 100 degree summer but for all three other seasons they are* perfect*. They fit pretty loosely for an XL which is a plus. I like cinching the ankles because I like the sporty look I get. It's brilliant how they have been able to design a way to keep the cinching elastic out of the way, whether it is loose or not. These are the most perfect pants I 've worn in over 20 years. They actually fit correctly and are properly high waisted, and as such can easily be dressed up; but are also entirely functional for work. All the while they are still wide enough to accommodate truly muscular thighs, they have a clean cut through the leg that you can even fit a pair of half chaps on top of them to ride in them! Furthermore, I expect them to break in fantastically as they 're a study weave of 100% cotton. I am so happy I snagged the last pair in a size that would accommodate my hips, but I regret not being able to semi- stockpile these! They are fantastic, and particularly left- hand friendly. The waist band allows some gap to accommodate natural movement but, I have it pinched in with a stretchy belt, as can be seen in my photos. However, the belt is not needed so long as the pants fit your hips. I could go on? I want more of these, and others `` like '' them.

I purchased these pants in both the zip- off and non- zip- off models for an extended trip to southeast Asia. Three countries and 30 days later these pants, like the others I have purchased over the years from Columbia have been impressive. They wear like steel surviving daily wearing where I sat, hiked, climbed in and out of long boats, tuk- tuks, taxis, busses, through remote villages, along muddy tracks, and repeated washing in sinks and the occasional clothes washers. The hot humid climate created a thermal challenge but wearing shorts was not an option given all manner of biting insects that carry a variety of nasty diseases. These pants are super lightweight and fast drying. Most stains came out in the wash and those that did n't, probably would n't come out of any fabric.

Really durable and comfortable working style pants. Unlike jeans, these have an extra section of durable fabric from the thigh down on the front to lengthen the time it takes to wear out the knees. Definitely tear resistance with the checker style stitching which is a plus. Deep pockets hold a full size smartphone. 36 ” waist is more for a person who wears a 34 ” as they do not stretch at all and will be tight for people who wear snug 36 ” pants.

I bought several pairs of these pants about a month ago. I have been a horse trainer most of my life and wore blue jeans. But I am now working doing farm maintenance in Florida where it becomes very hot in the summer. I found the blue jeans to be quite hot and was looking for an alternative. They needed to be durable but lightweight and comfortable but also have lots of pockets. I didn ’ t know these pants existed until I saw them in Dick ’s Sporting Goods. I have to say these have checked all the boxes. They seem to be durable but they are lightweight and have lots of pockets. Seeing as they do not have belt loops for a belt, it ’s difficult to use the holster for my phone. I find the front pockets to be convenient to put my phone in along other essentials such as pocket knife or keys. I love the fact that they have zippers so you don ’ t have to worry about items falling out of the pockets. There are two rear pockets similar to what you would find on blue jeans. There are also narrow pockets lower on legs that I find quite handy. There are also loops for tools such as a hammer. These pants are exactly what I was looking for. I find the sizing to be accurate, and I find them to be very comfortable.

They are versatile in that they can be worn for business or casual. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and almost feels like they are water resistant. You do need to remove from the dryer and hang up quickly as they wrinkle easily. Very comfortable fit and feel like a pair of dressy khakis. Great for work as they are very comfortable but also great for a more formal event as they can also look dressy if paired with other garments. I love these hiking trousers!! I live in the Midwest and I did not know how they would hold up in our really cold winters. They are great in the snow and wet cold. I add a layer underneath for warmth and the trousers do the rest. I tend to be hard on jeans and cargo pants but these are just as rugged and really lightweight. In addition to hiking, I do a lot of outdoor shooting and needless to say these do just fine for a day at the range. They arrived extra long, but I understand why, I washed them twice and then took them to get altered and it has been great ever since. What an amazing product!!

This was my second item I ever got from this company and I love them! Like the Sten jacket it's a sleek design and definitely got compliments from these pants. As for water repellence, Like the sten, it's worth having Greenland wax to put a few coats for before your adventures to add more resistance. But other than that the pants are a worthy investment for your hiking adventures!

These are best work pants I ’ ve found based on fit and durability; oh, and plenty of pockets. I also appreciate the roomy fit. They get a little warm in the Georgia summer but really any long pants do. The only nit I might pick is their length. I wear 31 ” inseam so 30 ” or 32 ” depending. This pant in 30 ” length is a good 2 ” too long. I just make sure to empty the rolled cuff outside before washing.

[ I took these pants on a trip to Europe and wore them multiple days, always over a merino base layer. The lightweight stretch fabric and comfort stretch waistband made them extremely comfortable for long hours of walking and sightseeing. They stayed comfortable all day and never felt restrictive, even after repeated wear. They fit perfectly into the local European style, looking clean and modern without being overly technical. I never felt underdressed, whether walking around town, visiting museums, or going out to dinner. The pockets are practical, including a secure one ideal for travel, and everything stayed in place without adding bulk. They held up very well to multiple days of wear and continued to look sharp throughout the trip. Comfortable, functional, and stylish, these are excellent travel and everyday pants that I would definitely buy again and highly recommend.
