[ It is n't often that a single piece of clothing completely elevates my wardrobe, but this sweatshirt fits that bill. It's easily among the comfiest hoodies I 've ever touched. The fit is slightly oversized, making it both a perfect streetwear layering piece, and a good hoodie to throw on after a long day for a comfy night on the couch. The material is a bit thicker and seems higher quality than most other athleisure wear I 've owned. The zippered kangaroo pocket perfectly fits a phone, as well, which is a really nice touch. To me, it looks best dressed up with a nice pair of athletic shorts or loose fit jeans, and if you wear jewelry, the true black color makes silver/gold pop really well. It's worth noting that the sleeves and hood fit pretty huge. When I put the hood up, it nearly droops down to my eyes and looks a bit silly, and the lack of cuff seams on the sleeves make for a baggy fit. These are very minor things to me, and they were features I got used to after a few minutes of wearing the hoodie. Design wise, I love the all- black look with the tiny Nike swoosh below the front neckline. I feel like this will be the hoodie I center my fall wardrobe around, both for looks and comfort.

The material stood out to me as it was smooth both on the outside and inside of the garment. The tag says, `` oversized '' and that definitely fits the bill. I typically wear an XL and it fit me perfectly with the oversized look. What I liked the most are the small details. There are vent holes under each arm, a small zippered pocket above the main pocket, and the logos are smaller and more subtle. This will be a staple in my wardrobe.

[ This hoodie is first and foremost an oversized hoodie so you need to be aware of that before buying because if that's not your style it's not gon na feel great overall with your fit( you can size down I feel and get a more better fit if you 're not going for oversized). This hoodie I feel is the perfect airport hoodie, it's both stylish yet super functional for those long distance hauls. The sleeves are a bit longer than expected and looser than what I 'm used to in typical hoodies. There's definitely a subtly to this hoodie in the sense that Nike branding is very minimal( just a small swoosh and Nike Tech written on the right sleeve) so this pairs fairly well with any outfit cause it wo n't scream athleasure and makes it look more high fashion. I often prefer men's styles due to the straight cut without the flared out hips that most women's shirts/sweaters tend to have. I wear this hoodie as my jacket when temps are on the warmer side and as a mid layer under a jacket when temps are on the colder side. I will say it's very warm though. I can usually get away with wearing it in the low 50s to high 60's as my outer layer. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb female with a straight/slim build and I wear the XS. The sleeves are a tad long for me but I 'm used to it since I wear mostly men's clothing. I usually just cuff them back a little. I 'm also a big fan of the G1000 reinforcements from the elbow to the wrist. It's a nice look and gives the sweater extra durability. The leather logo/ending to the drawstrings is a nice touch too.

The Dick's employee we were directed to, a young man who loves to snowboard in our local mountains, directed us to this jacket. We are new to the sport and have n't got up to the mountains yet, but one feature we liked that would n't be apparent online or in- store, but which he showed us, is that there are side zippers that go up pretty high almost to under the armholes. He said if the sun comes out and you are just getting hot/sweaty from the exercise of snowboarding, you can unzip both side zippers( they start at the bottom hem), and it helps you vent out your warm air and cool off, without having to remove the jacket. He says he really likes that feature. He owns the same jacket in black and he loves it. I was worried because it has a non- bulky profile so I thought maybe it wo n't insulate enough, but he said the jacket keeps him nice and toasty when he's snowboarding. It looks to my eyes young and modern and cool, and my daughter looked cute in it when she tried it on. It's also pretty roomy, which is a plus if it is for a teen who is still growing. Color is a neat shade of pink that looks modern. Also, seems to be made to a very high quality. Sorry no use details.

So far I have only used this jacket for spring( alpine) skiing, at which it has been amazing! With temperatures in the low to mid 40s at the top this jacket, along with OR Trailbreaker pants and Gripper gloves, was warm enough, with just enough wind protection for riding the lifts and skiing fast, but breathable enough to prevent me from get sweaty and catching a chill. With temps below that I threw on an ultra- light softshell and was plenty warm.( Note that 1. I run warm when working hard and 2. I wear a hydration pack while skiing, without which it is possible my back would 've been chilly sitting on the lift) And it fits( size S, I am 5' 6 '' 145lbs) perfectly and looks great even just around town. So far one of my favorite items by OR( and I 've got quite a few of them) Looking forward to using this for snowshoeing, cool weather hiking etc.!

This thing rocks. Originally, I purchased this to do winter trail runs in, but have since used it to paddle, ice climb, mountain bike, backpack, and travel. I have found the Deviator to be one of the best if not the best light, active piece for me when it is chilly outside. The front/hood fabric has a good DWR and sheds light wind/rain well, while keeping just the right amount of heat in. I have found that it needs to be under 25F while running to keep myself from sweating, but with the other activities, I find it to be very comfortable in the 30- 45F range( when I am moving), even if it is windy. The zippers are a little fragile, BUT it is meant to be a lightweight piece. I have found that being patient with and keeping the zippers clean and waxed go a long way. I am a Medium/Large and bought a medium, which worked for me well. Overall, I love this piece. While it is not a replacement for a puffy, It retains way more heat than I expected for such a light jacket, especially when moving.

Man, this hoodie slaps. I primarily use it for days when it's cold but I need to get my miles in whether that be running trails/roads, snow shoeing or whatever else I do in the winter. The back is covered in what seems like waffle insulation which breaths super well so when I get hot, the excess heat has a place to go. It wicks sweat and keeps me feeling dry. The front has wind resistant panels that keeps warmth where it should be, and keeps wind out. It definitely fits snug in the arms so layering with a long sleeve base was a bit challenging considering how snug they are, but they are not too tight. I actually feel like the sleeves had a 1- 2 use break in time because now they seem more roomy and it's no longer a struggle to get a long sleeve skin tight layer on underneath. That's my experience, but not really a bad thing considering that putting on another layer over the deviator is that much easier. Please do not buy this piece expecting to hang out in 15 degree weather and to be toasty. This is an active layer that will absolutely keep you warm while you 're on the move. I use it for its intended use, and it produces a 5 star experience.

The design keeps the wind out but lets your back and arm pit breath while running or wearing a pack. The fit is intentionally slim- fit, as the product can keep you warm that way. Paired with a base layer this keeps me warm in temperatures just below freezing while running or hiking. If it gets cold, I just throw a soft shell over this and it's perfect. I am an OR employee and have used prototype versions of this jacket over the past couple years. The fabric works very well at giving both wind and light weather protection AND breathability and stretch. For running, mountain biking and as an `` up- hill jacket '' for backcountry ski touring it is amazing because it adds warmth in cool and cold temps, but breathes enough to prevent overheating so much better than traditional windshells. And it is ultralight and highly packable. Best of all worlds.( It does not replace a rain jacket though. It is water resistant, but far from waterproof.)

This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5' 6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.

This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. Arguably my favorite Fjallraven piece out there, this hoodie is perfect for just about any situation. Performs very well as a top or mid layer. You can wear it comfortably on mild/cooler days, or it acts as a perfect mid layer for skiing or any other alpine related activities for that matter. The waxed canvas patches on the shoulders, and overall composition of the hoodie, give it a good amount of water repellency. I sized up one size, since the fabric has a decent amount of stretch to it and sits a little closer to your skin than a traditional hoodie.

I often prefer men's styles due to the straight cut without the flared out hips that most women's shirts/sweaters tend to have. I wear this hoodie as my jacket when temps are on the warmer side and as a mid layer under a jacket when temps are on the colder side. I will say it's very warm though. I can usually get away with wearing it in the low 50s to high 60's as my outer layer. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb female with a straight/slim build and I wear the XS. The sleeves are a tad long for me but I 'm used to it since I wear mostly men's clothing. I usually just cuff them back a little. I 'm also a big fan of the G1000 reinforcements from the elbow to the wrist. It's a nice look and gives the sweater extra durability. The leather logo/ending to the drawstrings is a nice touch too.

[ This jacket is warm despite how light it is. I don ’ t think it ’ ll hold up once it gets too far below freezing, but I ’ ve been running in around 40 degree Fahrenheit weather and I ’ ve had no problem staying warm. I like the thumb holes in the jacket to help keep my hands warm, even if I eventually will start wearing gloves anyway once it gets colder. Those holes are helpful when it ’s the end of fall/beginning of winter. On top of the functionality, the jacket also looks very sleek and forms to the body well. I ’ ll probably wear this casually every once in awhile as well because it looks that good. Only complaint I have is with the hood. Luckily it ’s fairly light so it ’s not too distracting, but it ’s still a pain to go out for a run with my hood bouncing around. You can tuck the hood with the strap that comes with the jacket, but that ’s still a pain( albeit a small one) to roll up and even then it ’s not a perfect solution. Overall, I highly recommend this jacket! Definitely a keeper for my workout outfit rotation.

[ Brooks made a really nice quality hoodie. The material is a cross between athletic moisture wicking type and a thermal ribbed type. Material is fairly thin, but provides surprising warmth due to thermal ribs. It ’s great for running or outdoor exercise in cooler temperatures. I ’ ve been wearing it more as casual work/everyday attire. It provides about as much warmth as a long sleeve thermal shirt. I wouldn ’ t wear it in extreme cold but works well as a mid layer when temperatures are down. The thermal hood can be rolled up if you ’ re not using it. Medium size fits a 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lb male with athletic build very well. Sleeves and torso length are just right. Slightly form fitted with room for movement. Material is elastic and stretches. Zipper stash pocket and thumb holes are nice features. I ’ m very happy with the look and feel of this hoodie and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice athletic type hoodie.

[ I must say I ’ ve really enjoyed this shirt! The material is amazing! Warm enough but breathable with a great four way stretch in it! It ’s very comfortable and a perfect base layer when it needs to be! I also love the hood, it ’s shaped to my head, not tented or baggy. Fit is more on the fitted side but not so much that I ’ d size up just doesn ’ t have any loose areas. Love it! Definitely will buy more of these!

[ Bought this to add to my cold weather/ winter rotation of sweaters and hoodies. Especially nice in light rain( have n't tested it in heavy rain yet). Roomy enough for undershirt and a base layer or two. Particularly useful when the weather is cold but not so cold that a heavy jacket is needed.

[ It was great to wear on the ski slopes. Blocked out the wind, perfect for layering, keeps you dry, and light enough did n't get overheated- easy to cool off with the side zips.
