The 5 ” length is perfect for me as it ’s long enough to not ride up my thighs when I walk/workout. I don ’ t really like to buy clothing with tight elastic bands on the waist and prefer a little bit longer in length. But it ’ d be ok for a short workout. I like the fabric. The shorts fit like a glove and with the Dri- Fit design, I am able to workout comfortably. What I like most is the texture and feel of the shorts while exercising. I would not change anything about them, just personally would have the shorts but an inch or two longer because shorter workout shorts tend to roll up on my thighs when exercising.
