I absolutely love the Guide 18s! I am training for a half marathon, typically run 30- 40 miles a week. The past few months, I 've gone through several other shoes, had lots of trouble with blisters. This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I totally recommend these to any fellow flat footed runner, especially if you ’ re just starting out. I ’ ve taken them on trails, pavement, track, and they feel fantastic.

Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). I do 12 hour days, the arch support is great in these i have high foot arche. I do not have leg or knee trouble when wearing the Hokas. I love the feel and fit of the Ariel GTS 24. My first pair was a pretty teal blue and I liked that it had color but was n't too wild because I like to wear them for everyday use as well as exercise walking and some running. They do n't look clunky and do n't make my feet look big. I decided to get a real neutral shade next so I got a greyish beige style. Most recently I got the Mercury/ebony/sweet lavender and this is my favorite color so far. Very neutral overall but the lavender part adds a lot of style. They are a very supportive, stable shoe which is important to me as I am in my 70s and need that. The only negative is that this most recent shoe did not have the same type of shoelaces as the first two pairs. Those laces stay tied even when you do n't double- knot them. The laces on the newest pair are flatter instead of round and I always worry they will come untied if I do n't double knot.

These sneakers are everything I hoped they would be. As a women's size 11, I have to order my shoes since shops rarely carry my size. These are true to size, perhaps slightly narrow in the toe but not enough to size up IMO. I 'm almost 200lbs which is a lot of force coming down on my feet and I ca n't recommend these enough for heavier people. I was looking for a new shoe for my fitness walks. I ’ m a quite speedy walker( 4+ mph) and needed something to support my heel and arches. I tried lululemon and Hokas and both made my arches hurt immediately, I couldn ’ t finish my walk. I tried the Brooks Glycerin GTS and they were amazing. I had one of my fastest walks ever!! I ’ m glad I got the extra supper because my arches hurt a little as I was warming up, but the shoe supported me well and I was able to do my entire walk. The heel is also supportive without being too squishy. I don ’ t notice feeling super hot in them, but I haven ’ t worn them in the summer yet. I 've spent the summer trying everything to alleviate my sudden plantar fasciitis from orthotics to Hokas and several other brands recommended by lots of sympathetic folks. I do have weird feet. High arch and instep, wide toes somewhat narrow heel, and supinating gate. Until I got these Altra Egos, it felt like walking around with a thumbtack in my heel. Now finally relief! These are the ones!! True to size, clean look, super comfortable. They are cushioned, they give a little bounce to your walk, and they are a great all around shoe. I love my air max 270s but they are not the best support in the gym. These give good support for running, the recumbent bike, and I ’ ve had ease lifting with them. I 'm a nurse with rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative discs in my lower back that deals with chronic lower leg and back pain. These shoes have changed the game for me! In addition to compression socks, I 'm able to accomplish more and work longer. It was recommended that I try the Hokas gaviota but it over corrected my arch and caused additional pain. I have flat feet with bunions and the wide fit perfectly. I would HIGHLY recommend these shoes.
