I bought the UA Velociti Elite 2 after watching many reviews of the top carbon plated racing shoes. I am stoked that I did! I ordered it in a half size larger than my normal size because I have a wide foot. Perfect fit! The upper hugs the foot like a snug glove and the lock down is excellent. The midsole has a generous amount of cushioning but plenty of spring to propel you forward. I didn ’ t expect to like the outsole as much as traditional rubber. I have had zero traction issues and enjoy how quiet the foot strike is. Overall this shoe has a fantastic build quality and is very fast! I am thinking about getting a second pair.

Of the 12 pair of Salomons in my house, I had to buy another pair of these. I did n't want to make the mistake of missing these like the black SC3 I had. I am 53, weight lift and partake in HITT and these SC3 have been the stable of of workouts, the right cushion and support. I wear a size 10 and they are snug not tight on my feet. Had to go half size up for a bit more length for toes but not a big issue, I have narrow feet and width is perfect. Haven ’ t ever felt a more comfortable, bouncy, carbon plated shoe. Usually carbon plated shoes hurt my feet after a few miles- these don ’ t. Just feel good to run in and they keep your feet turning over. Only complaint is little hard to get on. Also have the Mach 6 as a daily trainer and love that too. Also have the cielo road shoes- try these they are amazing with peba foam..

It feels like a shoe that ’s just as appropriate for a casual day out as it is for a workout. I got a few compliments the first time I wore them, which is always a good sign! That said, I did notice a couple of small things. While the StealthFit sock top felt great overall, it sometimes made my foot feel like it was slipping just a bit inside the shoe, especially on longer runs. It wasn ’ t a dealbreaker, but something I had to adjust to. And while I usually love cushioned shoes, the sole of the Glycerin was almost too soft for me. Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

My running journey started March of 2024. 2 years before this mt doctor suggested I take my heart fort a brisk walk. The first year it was once a week and the second year twice a week. The third year they suggested 3 times a week and that ’s when I felt that I might be able to run. The 1st 2 weeks weren ’ t pretty as I ’ d run 100 ’ and walk a 100 ’ feet for 2 miles. Then I bought a pair of the Ghost 16 ’s and never looked back. I prefer to run at the colder temperatures between 20F and- 5F. Any of the shoes in the Brooks lineup will be a great shoe. Just ask a lot of questions to make sure you get the ones that are comfortable for you. Someday hopefully I ’ ll be able to get a pair of the Elite 4 shoes and take them out for a run. Pun intended. The Hyperion Max 2 are amazing shoes. I usually run in either Hyperions{ 1st generation and 2nd) or Adrenaline GTS 24, 2 pair) for recovery runs. I have an arsenal of Brooks shoes, 12 pairs to be exact. I enjoy everything about the Brooks shoes and won ’ t run in any other shoes.

The only thing that I 'm disappointed in is that I did n't try these until right before the Vaporfly 4 replaces them. Absolutely loved these on my marathon training long runs and looking forward to wearing them in my first marathon. I also crushed my 5K PR in these shoes so I 'm loving how versatile and comfortable they are. Looking forward to trying out the Vaporfly 4 next! Love the slimmer sole design on Vaporfly shoes, and these are no different. My old pair( previous model) was a little snug, so I sized up by half a size( from my normal size which, interestingly, does work for the Pegasus), and these fit really well. They are very light, fit like slippers and walk and run very well as they cushion your feet. I absolutely love these shoes! I ’ m prone to getting blisters but that isn ’ t a problem any more with these shoes. They are super lightweight, comfy, cushioned but still give you that bounce from the carbon plate. I feel like my runs are lighter and faster. I font feel any shock when I hit the ground so it feels like walking/running on clouds. I can not recommend these shoes enough! I plan on using these for race day. They are so comfy for longer runs and faster speed runs.
