The instructions, including the template on the inside of the box, were very descriptive and allowed for an easy install. I did discover However, that I needed to put a Backing plate under the mount to make it a bit more secure with the weight of the motor. Otherwise, it ’s an exceptional solution. If there are any cons to the device, it might be the price, but considering the amount of machining and tolerances that are necessary to make it as functional as it is, the value is definitely there. I would purchase it again if needed.

I have taken so many trips in the MK 106 and could n't be more impressed with the unique qualities of this kayak. First, it is a great size and length for most anglers- at a length of 10' 6 it fits perfectly in a truck bed or even car top. Second, the custom motor from Minn Kota is a workhorse- with the right battery you can run this kayak all day with charge to spare. Third, it is so versatile- take out the motor and insert the cover plate and you have a perfect lightweight and stable kayak for rivers and streams.

Love this kayak! The rail systems are great for easy change out for my fresh water to salt water set up! Got a wizard anchor and diver down flag with led light. It's tough and can handle the ocean. Love the storage space! I am able to carry 2 scuba tanks set ups. 1 in front and my friends scuba tank in back. I use a tow rope and pull him out to sea on his kayak! Plus spearfishing gear fins weights for freediving trips! Loading this kayak up and it still pulls through ocean like a beast! Then I remove everything for some fresh water bass fishing. The 10ft+ length is perfect for my truck. Does n't stick out so far that I have to go buy a trailer. I wash it alot especially after the salt water and keep the cables clean and lubed. Apply some die electric grease to all the power connectors and fittings. Never had an electrical issue. Been a great kayak! Highly recommend it!

First time on the water and it performed flawlessly. Outfitted it with a LiTime 12v 100ah lithium battery and a Humminbird helix 5 fishfinder. The helix was connected to a noqua 10 ah battery. There is plenty of space in both the front and back of the boat. Turns on a dime and I was able to get a speed of 4. 2 mph easily. After 4 hours on the water the battery was barely touched. This kayak is well thought out and well built. The predrilled holes for electronics made installing the fishfinder a breeze.

This kayak is awesome! It is the most stable kayak I have used and I was able to stand and fish with zero issues. It maneuvers great and very easy to paddle. It has plenty of room for all your gear. I 'm using these for kayak racks on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. They really fit nicely into recesses under the hood that will keep them from sliding in either direction. Same in the rear hatch although the straps could be just a bit longer for the rear hatch. The rubber tubes are rather large diameter, about an inch, which makes for a really secure hold.

Kit worked well. I changed the mount from inside the trailer to outside( who wants to lose space in the trailer bed?) by getting some additional u- bolts and L- brackets to replace the bottom mounting plates. I did have to replace the bolts used to attach the tie down points, as the wrench needed to tighten them would not reach inside the cross bar.$ 2. 50 worth of slightly smaller bolts, nuts and washers fixed the issue. I still need to cut off the excess bolt threads, but it is going to work great for carrying kayaks while still allowing the trailer to be used for hauling other items.

No, I do not personally own one of the racks, but coming from a person with loads of ladder rack and vehicle rack purchasing and using experience, this may the coolest, most useful product I ’ ve ever come across. We have used this rack for 2 trips. It does not lock, but is east to remove from the crossbar to be stowed inside the vehicle while we were camping. The rack is compact so that we were ae to carry a kayak and a canoe on our trips. After a 5 hour car ride, the vessels were still secure and stable. Excellent product.

Nice quality, this mounted perfectly on Toyota OEM crossbars as the bracket is about 4 '' wide. I suggest putting the straps on the rack 1 kayak at a time and start with loading the side of the vehicle with the rack farthest away( if not centered) as it is easy to get them tangled and bunched over each other. Also, if you have an SUV you will be hopeless putting on 2 kayaks by yourself if you are under 6' tall. I bought my rack second hand( used once) from a shorter person with a big SUV.

We have used the Thule Compass many times and we love it. The only issue is that it does take a while to load and secure boats. Not a huge deal and should get better with practice.

Purchased 2 sets of the Hull- a- port for our Wrangler JK. Used the the Jeep brand cross bars and the Thule J hooks fit perfectly. Very easy to put on and take off the cross bars. Our kayaks fit perfectly on the Hulu- a- ports and are very secure. We paid extra for the best and we are not disappointed…would highly recommend and would buy them again.

The steel Straps that attach to your cross bars do n't slip a millimeter during transit. also the strap guide on the top bar of these racks are great so you can set the strap and fold it up without having to climb up on the car to do so. This is my third purchase and installation of a YakGear anchor trolley kit. I loved it on my first two kayaks and had to have it for my new Pelican Catch 100 also purchased from Dick ’s. I often fish areas where winds and/or currents carry me away from a hot spot and force me to quit fishing in order to paddle back to where the fish are. The trolley allows me to stay put and to be pointed in the right direction at the same time. Installation was easy thanks to multiple how- to videos on the internet. Only tools required are a drill and a Phillips screwdriver or rivet gun. Great product at a good price.

I bought one for my first kayak and it was easy to install especially after seeing it on YouTube. I have used it a lot in shallow lakes and in Lake Michigan. It holds well and is completely adjustable allowing me to anchor and fish at any angle to the wind or sun. I now have a newer kayak and will mount 2 of this same product, one on each side. I also use it with a drift sock. Works perfect.

Installed on a Wilderness Pungo 120 using You Tube directions. The written directions were confusing. Using You Tube, installation was a piece of cake. I 've only used the set up twice. Each trip it worked great. The second trip was windy with 10- 13 mph. winds. Anchored with the wind at my back so I was able to cast left, right and front. Glad I had the set up, otherwise the trip would have been a bust. Fishing would have been impossible.
