I have been using this equipment for over 12 years. I have put it to hard use both inside and out in nature, over tree limbs and pull up bars. It has held up remarkably well. It is also useful as isometric straps. I keep it in a bag in my car when I go on my month long road trips. Originally I owned the first version( which I still have and use) but this version is even better because the straps are wider, the handles allow for comfortable foot straps, which allows for some potent lower body exercises. The handles are thick and comfortable. The adjustments are quick and easy to make. One of my favorite strength and mobility tools.

As a long distance runner I was looking for a resistance trainer I could use while on the road. Unboxing was pretty easy with three resistance bands and two ankle bands. The ankle bands when properly attached have little to no give so all of the energy is transferred to the resistance bands. I am impressed with how sturdy and comfortable the trainer is while in use. The three resistance bands are a snap to attach and remove while exercising. This is a must have for those on the go as I just toss it in my overnight bag and take off. Great product!

5 stars are for a Lifeine Gym version I got in 1983. I still use it as I 'm on SSDI due spondylosis. It fits in the door and the cables allow you to lean at 45 degree angle stretching your shoulder joints and isolating your spinal chord, site of bone spurs. My version allows converts the handles into barbell or stand on the handles and pump the barbell fed cables, twisting for more resistance. It also allows those of us who can not sleep to stretch any time of day or night. My Lifeline Gym is the finest addition to anybody's home with aging family members.

The assembly was more complicated than I expected( it took me an hour to get it fully out of the box and assembled), but it was worth it once I got the whole machine together. I was only able to do 2 minutes on it my first time and my thighs had a good burn going! I also felt it in my lats, shoulders, biceps, and my core a bit, just after 2 minutes on it. I like that you can adjust the resistance and the seat easily. I have n't tried the resistance band cables yet, but I 'm looking forward to it to target my inner and outer thighs like it shows in the video. This machine does n't feel like a beginner machine- I work out already, and like I said, after just 2 minutes on resistance 3, I had to take a break and my legs were burning! If you 're a beginner, you may have to work up to being able to be on it for several minutes at a time. It gets your heart pumping, too!

I 've had mine over 2 years, and it is finally showing some age... slight gives and tears in fabric, but hey, I 've put it through the ringer... use it 3 to 4x a week. I never did use the water bottle attachment though. Too floppy. UPDATE: So my first review was 7 years ago. I bought another vest because I finally am seeing some wear on the Velcro straps on my first vest. It is still usable, but over time, it has gotten dirty and I figured just get another one. I still bike with it but I am also power- walking up hills with it. I love that the weights are dispersed on the back and front because then you do n't have an uneven pull just on your back and risk injury. This vest is solidly made- the stitches in my older vest never tore( although the fabric thinned creating small holes where the weights constantly rubbed during the work outs- but after 7 years of excessive use- that's nothing!). My new vest is black. At first I thought I 'd be disappointed because black holds in heat vs the grey, but then it also wo n't show dirt as much either. This vest is only$ 5 more than when I bought it 7 years ago. This company puts out reliable product that reflects highly on their standards and excellent design.

I 've had this weighted vest for ten years now and I really enjoy it. I am not a fitness gym type person- I do n't regularly spend time in a gym or lift weights. I wanted something to add to my walking routine to build some resistance. This vest is excellent- it evenly distributes the weight and you can add weight to it, or take weight out of it. the sizing is really good( I 'm like a 10/12 pants but closer to an XL for the bust area). I hang it on a strong, think plastic or wooden hanger. I can do work around the house and wear it at the same time. This is the time of year where I realize I 've put a little too much padding on with the winter chill and this vest helps me get back into shape. And I do n't need a replacement even after 10 years this Feb, 2022.
