Comfort is outstanding. Stability is great. Padding is just right. I appreciate the one piece rubber tread. I am fairly tough on shoes. A marathon a week give or take. One piece rubber tread always wears better than the current trend of contact patches. I burn through the edges and into the padding in just a few weeks with my running and walking style. The one piece allows the force of the step to transfer evenly without abrading and damaging the cushioning. I purchased this shoe due to having plantar fasciitis the fit and the cushion allows me to be unphased by the plantar fasciitis. I am able to run 5- 10K with no issues or concerns. I had a pair of these before this purchase and is the reason I purchased another pair. I love the Ghost 16 GTX because they keep my feet dry at work. My shoes can be wet a good portion of my work day so I do n't want wet feet as well. Brooks has finally made the Ghost GTX more comfortable and a little wider, if there was a wide version then I could order women 's shoes instead of men 's. I walk from 4 to 8 miles or more a day at work and I feel that these broke down quicker then the Ghost 15 GTX. I felt that the front part of my foot did n't have the support after 3 months. I like having dry and comfortable feet so I will continue to purchase them.

So when I started looking for new shoes I figured I 'd need trail running for my line of work( Fedex Delivery Driver) I walk about 3 miles everyday at work, combined with climbing in and out of the back of my work van, and in all elements. In all honesty... I do not run... unless being chased... or the quick sprint to catch my kids. But I walk, hike, ruck,& I am brutal on my feet/shoes with a- lot of stop& go in my work. I average 6- 10 miles a day& for the first time in a while my feet did not scream at the end of 3 straight days trying these, great right out of the box( really low profile socks bunch up in the back a bit) They do work really well with my custom orthotics, clean easy, breath, do not really pick up gravel, and have great grip and balance. My running journey started March of 2024. 2 years before this mt doctor suggested I take my heart fort a brisk walk. The first year it was once a week and the second year twice a week. The third year they suggested 3 times a week and that ’s when I felt that I might be able to run. The 1st 2 weeks weren ’ t pretty as I ’ d run 100 ’ and walk a 100 ’ feet for 2 miles. Then I bought a pair of the Ghost 16 ’s and never looked back. I prefer to run at the colder temperatures between 20F and- 5F. Any of the shoes in the Brooks lineup will be a great shoe. Just ask a lot of questions to make sure you get the ones that are comfortable for you. Someday hopefully I ’ ll be able to get a pair of the Elite 4 shoes and take them out for a run. Pun intended. The Hyperion Max 2 are amazing shoes. I usually run in either Hyperions{ 1st generation and 2nd) or Adrenaline GTS 24, 2 pair) for recovery runs. I have an arsenal of Brooks shoes, 12 pairs to be exact. I enjoy everything about the Brooks shoes and won ’ t run in any other shoes.

Soft and responsive. Good traction. Tough sole with rock guard. Only complaint is I wish Brooks would sell a high top version for hiking. I wear Brooks Ghost Max and those are about near perfect for a running shoe. The Caldera 8 has close to the same feel and just slightly less cushion. Which is what is needed when trail hiking or running. I would love to see a Max version of this shoe for better trail running platform and a High top version for my long hikes where I need ankle support

I have been wearing Brooks shoes for about 20 years and have tried several different models. The Addictions Walkers were the best for my job, police officer. However, it took me a while to find the right model for everyday use, after work. I have hip and lower back issues. The Walkers were not good for long period wear. The Adrenalines, Glycerins, Ghosts, Beasts and Addiction GTS are all mostly for running and wore down my hips and back. When the Ghost Max SE came out, I tried them on and the difference was amazing. I walk with my wife on a track that, with the other shoes, I could only make it once around because of the hip and back pain. I now make it around three times with very little discomfort. I bought my current pair the end of January and intend to buy another before we go on vacation in Florida the end of August. They are not only great for comfort, but also stylish enough for casual dress. Thank you, Brooks for developing these great shoes.
