This catchers gear was deffected, leg straps do not work, strap on chest protector broke. We drove 20 mins to original store purchase In Cerritos mall, to then drive 30 mins away to West Covina. We had our account receipts but in store associate did n't want to accept. It was n't until we went to West Covina and we had customer service on the phone who spoke to the store manager. We then were able to exchange. There is no need for us to drive over and hour, wait around 30 minutes, go through 4 on the phone associates and 3 in store associates.

I picked this up for the local little league that needed catchers gear for their single A team. As someone who caught before I 'm familiar with the gear and what good quality gear looks like. This set is so much nicer than what I had when I was in little league. I really like the velcro connected straps as they provide solid yet easy to attach and detach. The shin guards are sturdy and look to provide solid protection. The chest protector is also nice and thick and I like the added padding for the throwing shoulder as that's something Ive seen missed in a lot of sets. Finally, the helmet is solid as is the face mask but the face mask provides very good visibility which is essential. All in all, I 'm happy with this as is the team.

The Marucci Catcher's Select Kit is very very well made kit. The helmet and face guard are solid. The chest protector attaches via buckles, and has a shoulder pad that can be mounted for right or left- handed players with velcro. The shin guards are nice pieces too, however they attach via velcro; that makes them very quick to take on and off versus buckles, but we 'll see how long the velcro holds up.

He says the helmet is super comfortable and easy to get on and off quickly. He is 13 years old 5 ’ 8 and 190lbs and this Adult Size fits him well. He feels well protected wearing this gear and that makes me( his mother) feel at ease. He ’s playing with 16 year olds that throw a mean fast ball and if for some reason the ball would get away from him I feel confident that he ’ d be protected. The gear has clasps that are easy to clip into place for a fast transition from batting back to catching. He catches the majority if not all of the game and the gear is comfortable and he can move fast in it. He is extremely happy with Marucci Catchers Gear. One last plus is that it looks nice too! The Marucci Intermediate Catchers set( M- CG1) is well made and has the look and feel of a quality long lasting gear. I have two travel players, first is a 12 yrs old who is 5 ’ 4 ”@ 100lbs and this set fits him like a glove. This model has a hockey style helmet with great visibility has adjustable fitting and comes off quite easily. The chest gear has great coverage and protection also adjustable for growth. Knee pads and shin guards are comfortable and provide great cushion and flexibility in all catching positions. My second player is 5 ’ 10 ”@ 130lbs, and although it fits it ’s at the higher end. However, it is still very usable and comfy as he uses primarily for bullpen work. Overall both players give the set a big thumbs up for comfort, flexibility and protection. Great for players at all levels.

There are four connectors for each leg pad. The chest protector has shoulder protection, good padding, and goes on and off quickly. While the padding is good, quick mobility is not impeded at all. The helmet meets regulation and has the back section separated which allows for easy in and off as well. Good protection here as well and still affords strong visibility. A great set!

This is a solid catchers set. The pieces are high quality and look like they will hold up through many games. The helmet is well made and easy to pull on. The chest protector is sturdy yet flexible. The knee pads actually have a strong clasp that looks like it will stay put when adjusted correctly. It is truly made for intermediate ages, my guess is 13- 17. Rawlings makes a good glove. He steamed it at Dick's and it broke in quickly, later that day he used it in- game. It performed flawlessly and I could tell he was more confident behind the plate. It's also internally wider than the A2000 and secures the baseball very well. Even I could catch( balls thrown over my head) with no issues. I wish we bought this glove sooner. If he continues catching into college, his next catchers mitt would be a higher end Rawlings and this would become his backup glove. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

[ This is my kid's 3rd set. She hates white, and finds the USA tacky. So, we 've done two sets of black. She HATES change, so I almost bought the black again. Decided on the Charcoal. She was SO excited! It really is a slick color. And I do n't know that we 've seen another kid wear it. Totally glad I went with a different color. As for the gear, the quality has always been good. Many competitors' chest protectors are bulky! This looks fitted! No complaints on helmet or shin guards. Expensive?? Sure. But some competitors cost more for their `` very best. '' Highly recommend.

Bought two years ago and very happy with the gear. Daughter was too big for the small and the medium chest protector and shin guards were perfect. The helmet was a large and was a little big but adjusted well, plus she hit that growth spurt at 12 1/2 which took up the slack. Jen Schro gear it tops in quality and protection. My wife said, make sure my daughter is protected so we did our research and asked around with coaches and catchers from the tourneys. We visited. Many rave about Jens gear. My daughter has taken several foul balls to the face and a bat tip to the side of the helmet, and it didn ’ t phase her. We pulled her and checked for confusion and nothing. The shin guards have extra padding for the knees and the chest protector seems to deaden the balls. Highly recommend.

Great catchers mitt, with a great price. Bought to catch for my 13yoa daughter, an outfielders glove just was n't cutting it during pitch practice any longer. Break in was as expected, it was initially stiff. A mallet, lots of catching reps during pitching, and wrapping it with a softball in it when not in use developed a nice pocket pretty quickly. 5 of 5 glove for me.
