Use this on the back of a swim jig for maximum action! The claws on this thing flap like crazy! Also a go to on any style of jig when you want great action. It's also really durable too... not like some of the other craws when you catch on or two and the claws get ripped off!

5 Gary
Perfect size for using in multiple riggings. Texas rig, Carolina rig, Ned rig, as a swim jig trailer, weighted or weightless. Plenty of action from the appendages. Add these to your tackle for your next fishing adventure.

Best smallmouth bass plastic lure of all time!! I would without a doubt choose these over plastic tubes any day. Works in cold and warm water, nice overcast or bright sunny day, river or lake. Does n't matter how outside is, these will produce big trophies. If you have n't rig one of these up on your line, you 're missing out!

5 Anonymous
Most of my success has been on these baits. Regardless of the body of water I 've caught fish on them. They look so real that I went to pick up one I thought I dropped and found out it was the real thing. Now if I could only find them locally. If they are discontinued, I 'll be very disappointed.

5 Anonymous
The local tackle shop can not keep these lures in stock basically because I purchase them all! Without a doubt the best smallmouth bass lure I have found!

5 Mosquito
This is a highly productive craw, works great for smallies and walleye also. My favorite go to softbait.

My favorite trailer for Jigs and Chatterbaits. Great action with good fish catching scent.

Chigger craws in the 4 '' size WILL catch bass! Texas rigging them and putting on a 1/8 ou. worm weight will put the bait in the hit zone, and will keep it pretty much snag free. I use this bait almost every time I go out fishing for largemouth. Finally, they hold up pretty well.

5 Grandpa78
I bought this on a whim not knowing how to use it. First try was on a Ned rig and it worked really well, after the second cast I got three decent size bass. Thought how else can I use this. It was a windy day so I thought I can just throw this out on a drop shot and let the current do the work and surprisingly it did. After about five minutes with this just sitting out there, I never moved it, a three and a half pound bass decide to eat it. Great little bait.

This bait catches fish! I have only used it Texas rigged. I have found it also to be very durable. Last time out fishing, only had one craw left and caught at least 15 bass with that one bait. Never been able to do that with any other soft plastic I ’ ve used. My new “ FAVORITE BAIT “

Frequently Asked Questions For Crawfish Jig

A crawfish jig is a type of fishing lure designed to mimic the appearance and movement of crawfish, which are a common prey for many freshwater fish. These jigs typically feature a weighted head and a soft body that can be retrieved in a way that resembles a crawfish swimming or scuttling along the bottom. Anglers often use crawfish jigs in various fishing environments, particularly in lakes and rivers where bass and other species are prevalent.

Crawfish jigs are often made from a combination of durable materials to ensure they withstand the rigors of fishing. The jig head is typically made from metal for weight and stability, while the body may be crafted from soft plastics that provide lifelike movement and texture. Some jigs may also incorporate additional features like skirts or blades to enhance their appeal to fish.

When selecting a crawfish jig, consider factors such as the size and color of the jig, which should match the local crawfish population for better effectiveness. Additionally, think about the weight of the jig, as this will affect how it sinks and how you can retrieve it in different water conditions. The type of fishing environment and the species you are targeting can also influence your choice.

Crawfish jigs can be effective throughout the year, but their success often peaks during specific seasons. In spring and early summer, when fish are actively feeding and spawning, crawfish jigs can be particularly effective. However, they can also be used in the fall when fish are preparing for winter, as crawfish are a natural food source during this time.

To enhance the effectiveness of crawfish jigs, anglers can employ various techniques such as slow rolling, hopping, or dragging the jig along the bottom to mimic the natural movement of crawfish. Varying the retrieve speed and incorporating pauses can also entice fish to strike. Additionally, fishing in areas with cover, such as rocks or vegetation, can increase the chances of attracting fish.
