these are great for a good pool work out. they are a bit `` heavy ''( more floatation) but you can use slower movements or keep them more shallow for less of resistance, and move them faster or push them further under water( or do both actions at the same time) for more resistance. they seem to be holding up well so far but I have not had them for very long. hopefully they will continue to hold up in my 3 times a week hour long pool class at the gym.

My PT had me use this in physical therapy. Put it on the floor, roll your stocking foot over it for 3 minutes. AMAZINGLY fast results. I like this original Hex Bar much better than the bigger version because it takes up way less space with the 10 inch sleeves rather than 16 or more. The knurling is perfect and I love the 25mm grip plus the rigged sleeves so the plates do n't fall off easily when the bar is maxed out on weight. Some critics will complain that you ca n't add more than 500 pounds or so with 10 '' sleeves but unless you 're a strength athlete that weighs 250 or more I do n't see the need.

I had the top of the line Rogue Ceracote curl bar for 4 years& did n't like it for several reasons. It was too long with absurdly long sleeves. Too heavy with a starting weight of 30lbs. The color was a matte black which just looked dull especially after dirt/skin build up in the knurling. Also the ridiculous long sleeves were made of zinc which turns an ugly faded dull look even if you never use the bar. Plus the Rogue bar costs about$ 325. Finally I didnt like the bend of the Rogue. It was extreme in the middle grip which made the narrow& wide grip unbearable. The Nike curl bar fixed ALL the things I did n't like about to Rogue version. It has a gloss black finish over the matte black. The beloved Nike swoosh wins over the over hyped/priced `` Rogue '' logo. The length is about 8 '' shorter making it much more accessible/ manueverable in a garage gym setting or any gym for that matter. The bend is better so now I regularly use all 3 hand positions. The price was better at$ 200 even vs$ 325. The sleeves are the perfect size& made of a sleek metal that I highly doubt will show ANY signs of aging/use. The weight is 22lbs vs 30lb so you have a lower starting weight& can always add but you could n't subtract w/ the heavy Rogue. Only thing Rogue did better was the 28. 5mm diameter. I can feel the difference in Nike's smaller 28mm bar& would prefer 29mm or even 30mm if I could customize it. I rate the bar 10/10! The rest of Nike's gym equipment appears high quality& esthetically pleasing but its also way overpriced. The Nike curl bar is the only things I saw that gives you real value for the price point. NIKE 'S neoprene Kettlebells are cool looking but overpriced& the handles are rough like rocks. 👎🏾 The non neoprene versions have much smoother/ preferred handles.

This is one of the best weight bar you can get for maximum performance. I used one of these in my early 20s and I weighed 170 pounds at 5/7 inches tall and I got to the point that I could lift 300 pounds off the floor and over my head with ease. I am now 48 and have started lifting again and after two weeks I can see huge difference in my biceps and triceps. I weigh 205 now but plan on cutting weight and I should be able to get back to the 29 inch waist I had in my 20s with the right exercise and nutrition. Packed securely and shipped quickly, it arrived within a couple of days in perfect condition. It's well made and just what I needed. Two issues- one, as another reviewer commented, the bar comes with what I assume is an anti- rust coating that's a little messy to remove. It would be nice if some instructions came for that. Maybe there were and I just did n't see them. And two- the clerk who took the order told me my email address would be used only to communicate regarding the order. Now a day does n't pass without multiple emails from Dick's and they drive me nuts. I 've gone through the unsubscribe process twice to no avail.

The bar is good overall, but it lacks the clips needed to hold weight plates on the bar. This bar has smooth ends, not the typical screw on ends. Most- if not all- bars come with the nuts/clips you need to hold the weight on- this one does not. Adding insult to injury, the clips I bought later for this bar do n't even fit- even though the bar AND the clips are both 'standard.'( Both were bought at Dicks).

Writing this because the other reviews here do not describe what I received. Mine accepts standard plates and fits on an Olympic rack, as advertised, AND it arrived in a full- length cardboard tube with plastic caps, sealed in a plastic sleeve inside.

I 've worked out with this bar a couple of times and it is does exactly what it was designed to do. The length is ideal and the bar works well with my steel plates as well as plastic covered concrete weights. It would be great if the bar shipped in a tube, instead of the roughly 3 foot length of cardboard they taped around the middle. The bar survived the trip, just took time and some GooGone to get the sticky off.

Pretty good construction- welds at bar/collar junction seem pretty well done. Hollow but side walls of bar pretty thick. Not sure about weight capacity, but seems like it would do fine with 200- 250 lbs. Definitely increases range of motion. Allows for about 3 '' in grip width variation, so you can emphasize outer lats or nearer to spine pretty effectively. Collar fits perfectly over olympic bar ends. I 've not tried the smaller collar over standard bars, but at least it's an option. Personally, I feel the price for this particular item was a bit high. From my research it was comparable to commercial bars of greater thickness and weight capacity. However, this was readily available and in stock from Dick's, so that became the selling point for me. I would recommend the bar to others, but I would suggest to see if it goes on sale or if a coupon becomes available before purchasing at full price.

This piece of machinery is amazing, I have yet to go to the gym after I got this. Works great and has pretty much everything you need besides leg attachments but can do squat and deadlifts so its not a necessary thing. Overall this Cage is amazing and very sturdy. Definitely have recommended it plenty of times.

Great bar for the price. Solid welds and the knurling is aggressive which i love. It's a 45 lb bar and everything seems even and well constructed. The bar holds over 5 plates on each side and is n't bending. I 'm pretty sure it will hold 6 plates on each end depending on collar width. Hex deads are a great way to build muscle and this bar can handle the load. High and low grips are great for more options. Im glad i did n't spend 500 or some crazy price on a hex bar with more useless whistles.

It's a decent weight set. The problem I have is that when I called customer service to ask if the bar was one piece, I was told it was. I wanted the one bar strength in order to increase the weight. They were wrong. It is a 3 piece bar that is screwed together. It seems sturdy but I 'm not sure exactly how much weight the bar will hold now.
