These are a great substitute for cumbersome pulley machines for the home gym. You can increase resistance by approximate increments 10lb by adding the next tube size/color. Thicker ones are easy to place in the handles by securing the tube underneath your foot and stretching it out by pulling it up thinning it out enough to slide the handle into the slot.

This is a great gym for the price. Everything functions smooth and quiet. Fits nicely in a small corner( 27 inches of the side wall and 3 inches off the back wall). Assembly took about 4 hours but the instructions are well done and easy to follow. Instructions recommend two people work together but I was able to assemble it alone with no major problem. I would have to say this is my first home gym and I am quite impressed. It wasnt too difficult to put together and no parts were missing. One thing I would have liked is if they labeled the right and left arms as well as use darker print on the part boards which labeled the nuts and screws. I ’ ve had the triple handles and bought an assortment of cables ranging from 10 to 50 pounds. This means( using either one, two, or 3 cables) that I can create most combinations of total weight between 10 and 150 lbs. I use standard dumbbells in addition to these but any time I travel these just come along in a small duffel bag. Weights stay in the basement and these frequently come to the living room for quiet/safe use- just anchored to a door. I purchased these resistance bands a few weeks ago. I have incorporated them into my weekly fitness routine. Prior to the COVID lockdown I was regularly working out at a gym operated by our city. I set up a home fitness center. Even though the gym is open again, I still to not feel safe working out there due to the non- compliance of many of the other patrons. I decided to incorporate these resistance bands to expand my workouts. I am extremely pleased with my progress and the bands are certainly a big part of my success.

Bought this for a Christmas gift for our son after some problems getting set up due to the company that was scheduled to set it up the manager at the Bel Air Md store who took care of the issue and got it taken care of 4 days before Christmas. The first guy that was scheduled to deliver and set up came at 4pm and brought it in the house and then proceeded to tell us it was too late and we will have to reschedule, this was the 18th of December, after no return call from this company I stopped in my local Dicks store and spoke with the manager, he called back later that day and it was set up and ready to go 2 days before Christmas. Set up took about 6 hours with 2 guys who do this for a living, I would recommend paying the extra for set up. The machine itself is very well- built solid equipment, does so many different things, make sure you measure your space. It does not come with weights, so you have to buy them separately. So far, my son and husband are happy with the machine.

I was working out at home on my traditional weight bench with a couple of plates on each side. During my bench press workout, I pushed through nine reps and thought I could squeeze out one more, but my arms completely gave out. The bar came down and rested on my chest, and I had to tip one side to drop the weights, which caused the other side to flip down. It was a pretty risky move, especially without a spotter, but sometimes it ’s just not convenient to have one when you ’ re working out alone at home. This experience is probably the biggest reason I ended up purchasing this strength platform. With it, there ’s no risk of getting crushed, and the one- touch Bluetooth device to control the weight gives me so much peace of mind while working out. I found this exercise platform recently. I was looking at compact home gym machines online and getting a little discouraged because of the lack of options but this platform is different than anything I 've seen. I love the convenient weight adjustment dial. Easy to go from 20 lbs to 50 lbs, as opposed to loading and unloading weight plates. No more clutter of weights lying around the floor. And the Bluetooth clip- on addition let's me lift with safety and confidence, knowing I can zero out the weight with just a click of a button. The fold up feature is really convenient too. Itt's as compact as a suitcase, perfect for my smaller living room. I am extremely pleased with the Marcy Pro Smith Machine. The versatility allows for a full body workout. The assembly time was about 9 hours total with the bench. I recommend leaving all bolts loose until each part is assembled otherwise some parts may not align correctly. All in all, a good product and great value.
