[ I am an outdoor educational instructor and have tried “ all ” of the wool socks out there. Many are great but I find the smart wool brand to have a softer hand, so they are comfortable to wear, and they take a beating and keep going. There are times I have to wade a creek or run out in snow in socks only and these socks insulate superbly. If wet I can wring them out and put them back in and keep going. Excellent!

My wife has even borrowed them because she loves the comfort and fit. My only minor issue is that there is an `` L '' and `` R '' on the side/front of each sock. It's annoying and I 'm not sure why it's necessary to identify which sock should be on each foot but oh well. I 'd absolutely order these again.
