Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

The griddle works great. I purchased it after seeing the review on The Flat Top King. I like the fact that when you turn it on low, the temperature stays low as opposed to other brands that just keep getting hotter the longer it goes. Very even heating all across the surface. Assembly was pretty straightforward and I had no problems.

If you ’ re on the fence about which flat top griddle to buy, stop now, select the 36 ” Camp Chef! It is by far superior to the rest. The price is competitive to others; however, MUCH better quality! The steel used on the unit is just right( Goldilocks of build quality). It is awesome to cook on and soooo easy to clean up. Heats up quickly, cools down nicely, and is perfect size! I could not be happier with my decision to buy this unit. I will be purchasing another for a family member as I know he could not find a better made unit. NOTE: be sure to have plenty of space to spread out when assembling this unit. It comes in two boxes and you will be using parts from both boxes during the build. BOXES are heavy, be careful. One persons can assemble 90% of the unit, but do have help to place on the griddle and lid, it will save many colorful language! NOTE NOTE: in the instructions the nuts& bolt bag numbers follow numbers in the step by step guide. Now the instructions may have notated this; however, I am a male that reads the instructions at the end!
