Bought this as a Christmas present for my son. Dicks employees loaded it into my truck and I hid it in garage until Christmas—I had my older son help me bring the backboard in on Christmas Eve night and left the other boxes in garage. I just now got around to installing it because we live in Michigan and ground is just now thawed and dry enough to pour concrete. Instructions were great and there are really good videos on YouTube. I actually assembled the pole myself on sawhorses and had my older son and a friend help install the pole onto the bracket that was placed in cement the week prior. The next day I had two friends join me to hoist the 60 inch backboard to pole from the back of my pickup truck. Everything went smoothly and me and the boys were draining shots the rest of the day. Have gotten many compliments from neighbors on the look. I love the durability, look, and sturdiness. 5/5 stars. Took 13 bags of 80 pound qwikcrete but I did a bit larger cement cap. See pics!

We 've been using this goal for around a month, and it is top- notch compared to the portable hoop with the polycarbonate backboard. We installed it ourselves, and it's not hard at all. If you 're able to dig a hole and mix concrete, that's the hardest part( labor). I recommend using the Sakrete Maximizer Concrete Mix from Lowes. It goes farther, mixes easer and is a higher strength concrete. We dug a hole 36 '' deep and 24 '' square, and it took 9 bags. Build your own concrete form out of 2X4s, and make sure the form is level on the ground before you pour. When putting the goal together, the instructions are clear, and the hardware is packaged so it's easy to find. You 'll need at least 2 people to stand the pole up, and if you can get 3 to hang the backboard, your day will be easier. We backed a truck up close to the pole and stood on the bed instead of using ladders, which made hanging the backboard way easier. The hoop is sturdy with minimal wobble between shots. The rim is unforgiving, which I like, as I feel it will make the kids better shooters. The backboard is tempered glass, so it reacts the same as backboards in the gyms. These usually go on sale for almost half price around Christmas, so if you can wait until that time you will save money.

I have never seen another hoop with the trigger option for raising and lowering. It is superior to the crank. This is the only hoop I have seen it on making it the best one out there. I purchases the GS72c from Dicks in April 2024. Spent about 5 days installing it per the instructions. The biggest challenges were getting the hole dug to specs( lovely when you hit roots and rocks), Standing the pole upright, and attaching the backboard. My two sons and I accomplished it but we should have had a 4th member for safety. I enjoyed reading everyone's approach to getting the backboard on. Personally, we had just purchased 6p bags of mulch and made scaffolding of sorts to allow for 2 members to hold the backboard in place while a third, on the ladder, set the bolts. It was NOT easy. If your goal rattles much at all, make sure you have used ALL the plastic bushings and washers. ALL of the parts will be used by the time you are finished. Do n't skimp of the hole/concrete. Do it right. This goal is outstanding and my sons have said it is way better than the ones they play on at a local indoor court. There is no rattle. Very little shake. When the ball hits any part of the goal, there is no weak bounce back. It is solid and sounds solid. Our biggest disappointment was that there was no Pad or bottom of the glass protection with the goal. I also reached out to Goalrilla for a discount on those parts but the said no 😞.

The instructions were easy to follow, but it did take two men two or three hours to put the goal together. We cemented the base post in and assembled the rest while it dried. I bought the Goalsetter X560 60 ” Extreme two weeks ago from DSG as curbside pickup, DSG team helped me loading the boxes into my car. I already had the ground anchor installed in my driveway, so that made the installation much easier and I had to assemble the hoop only. The installation was easy, it too 2. 5 hours, the manual shows everything. The hoop has a good quality, is sturdy, my kids and I are happy with with this basketball hoop, I highly recommend this product.

So far so good! Clearly digging the necessary 16x16x36 hole isn ’ t the most enjoyable thing to do on a Friday afternoon. After waiting our time, the installation of the rest was simple. We put together the post and put it up( me and 15 yo) and borrowed a truck to install the backboard. SO MUCH EASIER! I ’ d suggest renting the Lowe ’s truck for$ 20 if you don ’ t have access to one readily. We cranked the arms all the way down so there wasn ’ t any lifting just holding the backboard at waist height to get the last bolts through. Kids love it, ended up buying the post light attachment within a few weeks so will review that soon after installation and some use!

FYI, the instructions say to dig your concrete 3 feet deep. We did not read that beforehand and had to do additional concrete work later. We even used rebar to sturdy things up.

I set this up by myself with no help. I highly recommend having multiple people assist. That was no fun. It ’s possible to do by yourself, but I do not recommend. Other than that, was not crazy hard to set up and easy to follow. It ’s a solid unit. We ’ ll see how it does in windy conditions.

I bought this just a few weeks ago. The original order said it would take 10 days to deliver..... it was at my front door in 2 days. Instructions are super easy! Make sure you buy your own mounting lags or bolts( they are n't included). I bought eight 5/8 x 5 '' wood lags with washers and the hoop feels like Shaq could n't even tear it down.

Escalade ’s order process time is excessively long. It took 7- 8 days before the hoop was shipped. Now, the hoop itself is great. All the bolts and nuts were shrink wrapped onto a cardboard sheet which made finding the right hardware super easy. This was probably the easiest item I ’ ve ever assemble simply due to the way the hardware is packaged. The backboard is a little less rigid than I had hoped for but as long as bank shots hit close the white rectangle on the backboard it works well. All in all I highly recommend this hoop.

Assembly was definitely not 90 minutes but family enjoyed putting this together as we all participated in it. Agree with another review that it is heavy once filled up and the fact the instructions pointed that out in the beginning. Would highly advise to have it where it will be used before you fill it up! It is heavy and difficult to move so I would n't try by yourself! We added a weather proof bag with another 100 pounds of sand to keep on top and it survived 60mph winds that came through where we live. I will say, I keep it lowered to 8 feet when it was windy and it kept it lower to the ground vs extended to 10 feet. Crank is easy to work and markings on pole are easy to read. Would buy again!

I was not in a rush to set up the hoop, but it went rather smoothly contrary to some reviews. The combination of the paper instructions, the youtube video and the app made it rather clear. There were even a couple steps where I was not sure where a piece was supposed to go, but when you refer to an alternate instruction the specific location was made clear. So far it is working well.

We ’ ve only had this about a month. I live in a community where there ’s 96 apartments and over 110 kids in the complex. I bought this for the ball goal the kids use so the teenagers could dunk on it. We put it on a lifetime dot com ball goal that was given to us. It ’s holding up well and is getting used daily. Seems to be sturdy and worth the price I paid for this for the kids!

[ I don ’ t write reviews often. However I bought this pool hoop based on the good online reviews, and I couldn ’ t be more pleased. It was so easy to assemble. The rim seems as strong as our big rim on our outdoor basketball hoop. It ’s very nice looking and matches our pool pebble sheen. First day our neighbor ’s 10 year old was hanging on the rim and it didn ’ t budge! So far we are very happy. Great product

Very impressed by the huge size and high quality of the pool hoop. Our kids play for hours in the pool at a time and it has held up nicely. The balls do discolor after a while if you leave them in the pool, so best to keep them in a toy locker when not in use. Highly recommend!

Love it. Fun little game to hang on the door. Foam padding to protect door as well which is a nice features. the material of the ball is also nice because it won ’ t break a door or harm any of the surrounding walls or such.

The ball was a bit heavy/tough for indoor use as it seemed to be constructed like a regular mini basketball, just smaller and I did n't want that bouncing off the walls/ceiling. I ordered a few Nerf/Foam style basketballs for my kids to use instead. Works Great.

I bought this backboard for my family, Christmas of 2021 and it ’s been a real hit! Everything included is sturdy, though you do need a few screws to attach the wall mount( sold separately) to your wood/other type of beam. Definitely follow the video tutorial as its better than the written instructions. It looks great outdoors, too!

Me and my family love the backboard and rim combo that we got from Spaulding! It was the perfect upgrade and facelift that our old inground basketball system needed. The only issue that we had was with the instructions, because we also replaced the pole mounting mechanism, which was not Spalding brand, and had its own instructions. It took a while to figure out which instructions steps to follow and which ones to skip, in regards to the backboard and the mount, but I eventually figured it out and now it works perfectly, and can be set to any height!

[ Our previous backboard lasted outside about three years before starting to break and chip. We bought this new backboard to replace the old one in our pole/elevator system. The new backboard fit and worked in this system without need of any adaptor kits, and while it was tight and tough to remount, it works and we 're back up and playing regularly. So far, this is a little smaller backboard but works great. We hope this one will last longer than three years, but we do play often and pretty hard on it. I 'd recommend this backboard and rim set as a good replacement.
